THURS-FRIDAY, JANUARY 10th-11th, 2019

This week the LGBT spiritual revolution gets a big boost when the Sun is in conjunction with Pluto and both are aligned with the star of Antinous in the sign of Capricorn ... sending transformative healing energies that can radically alter gay spirituality for centuries to come. Pluto takes more than 250 years to orbit the Sun. To give you some perspective, the last time Pluto was in Capricorn was in the late 18th Century ... the dawning of the Age of Reason and the revolutions in France and America. This time around, Capricorn Pluto is once again revolutionizing global political and economic structures along with belief systems. This is an opportunity for LGBT advancement that will not come again in our lifetimes. Seize the opportunity for transformational healing to prepare you for the world that will exist when Pluto leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius ... in 2023. More on how Capricorn Pluto and the Star of Antinous can change your life: PLUTO ALIGNS WITH THE STAR OF ANTINOUS.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 12th, 2019

This weekend your brain becomes finely honed to precision thinking when Mercury aligns in perfect conjunction with Saturn in no-nonsense Capricorn. You see clear solutions to any difficult situation.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 13th, 2019

This week Jupiter squares off against Neptune — Jupiter-square-Neptune is a configuration that occurs only once every six years — so this is your last chance for a big change for the next six years! Are you afraid of failure? Are you trapped in a vicious circle of fear and doubt? Remember Icarus! Right now Jupiter Square Neptune encourages you to take a big risk, just as Icarus did. We call this configuration the ICARUS ASPECT. Priests of Antinous say: Don't condemn Icarus for flying too high. Praise him for daring to escape the imprisoning labyrinth of darkness and despair.

MON-WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14th-16th, 2019

This week is bathed in sunlight starting Monday when we come to the Aries First Quarter Moon, which is the Lunar Phase we call the INVICTUS MOON ... the Antinous Moon Magic spirit of Mithras ... because this lunar phase always occurs in December or January near the Solstice Birthday of Mithras ... Invictus is the bold light that shines forth from a gay man's eyes to illuminate those around him. It is the warmth of your every being ... It is the optimism which brightens a dismal day when things are going wrong. Invictus is indomitable, unbeatable, unconquerable ... It is a determined spirit which never admits defeat, never gives up, never quits ... Invictus is a beacon which dispels darkness and casts out shadows ... In Antinous Moon Magic, tonight is an ideal time for meditation and rituals aimed at illuminating opaque situations or questions ... It is well-suited for planning assertive, goal-oriented action aimed at whole-heartedly positive results.

THURS-SATURDAY, JANUARY 17th-19th, 2019

This week's stellar line-up of fateful configurations continues into the weekend when Venus trine Mars creates a magical moment. It is possible now to take a balanced approach to conflict, problems and projects that require effort. This can combine both a gentle touch and firm action, sensitivity and forcefulness. Negotiation and interaction with others could be aggressive and determined now, but also balanced with sensitivity and style. Any expressions of anger, frustration or discontent are more likely to be tempered with fairness, moderation and composure. Meanwhile, "mental" Mercury aligns in conjunction with "investigative" Pluto and the Star of Antinous (PLUTO ALIGNS WITH THE STAR OF ANTINOUS), allowing us the chance to deftly channel our "inner detective" to get to the bottom of things, if we so desire ... although, we may also want to practice some measure of discretion with respect to how, when, and with whom we ultimately decide to share any of our findings. As most of us know: once we put something "out there," it’s there for good. By the way, the Scottish writer, Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of "Sherlock Holmes," had his natal Mercury in a tight conjunction with Pluto in Taurus in his "hidden" twelfth house. Michael Jackson was another person with this same planetary aspect, an influence which can also give us a "flair for the dramatic." Mercury-Pluto also tends to inject more passion (Pluto) into our communications (Mercury). And finally, this weekend you would be well-advised to avoid crowds and potential terrorism targets when the stubborn Capricorn Sun is in a 90-degree right angle to impulsive Uranus even as both are in tense aspects to Saturn, Pluto and Mars. On the negative side, people run amok and even the weather can be more than usually unpredictable and destructive. On the positive side, however, you might accidentally run into the new love of your life ... while running for shelter.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 20th, 2019

Overnight Sunday-Monday when we come to the first of three consecutive Super Moons, each in the first degree of their astrological signs, starting with this week's PINK MOON Lunar Eclipse which is also the lunar phase we call the LION HUNT MOON, the LEO FULL MOON. It is a reminder that Antinous slew a man-eating lion in Egypt. Antinous peered out into the barren wilderness with all its deep and hidden dangers. He charged forth, his bridle-reins in one hand and an adamantine-tipped spear in the other, and he faced the beast unafraid. For Antinous knew he would triumph over death. The Spirit of the Lion Hunt is the bravery of Antinous the Lion Slayer.

SNEAK PREVIEW OF NEXT WEEK:

Another exciting week lies ahead between January 21st and 27th when we come to the Scorpio Third Quarter Moon. This is the Lunar Phase in Antinous Moon Magic which we call the PERDITION MOON of coming to terms with loss and diminishment. Meditations and rituals carried out during this Lunar Phase are best suited for seeking to come to terms with loss and finding areas in your life where you may unconsciously be causing yourself loss or sadness. This Lunar Phase is NOT about giving in to loss and grief, but rather it is about moving through them to find new ways towards growth and fulfillment ... More details next time ....

HEALING ENERGY FROM THESE CRYSTALS By Our Crystal Meditation Adviser Martin Campbell

OUR astrology 'doctor' Hernestus, has prompted me that tonight's Lamia Moon phase is about coping with sickness and the importance of boosting healing energies to reverse the negativity.

Hopefully the following crystals can help to guard you from ill health, help cure any illness you may have and find spiritual connections which may help you do this alone or in connection with other spiritually connected souls around the world.

AGATE - There are many different types of Agate in many lovely colours. Collectively they help to diminish problems, cleanse your aura and strengthens blood vessels that carry healing white blood cells around the body.

FLUORITE – These come in many colours or blends of colours. Collectively they reorganise inappropriate energies in the body by detoxifying the glands.

RAINBOW MOONSTONE – These lovely crystals (shown at top of entry) help you to personally connect to healing that you can project locally and globally.

It also eyes arteries and veins. Very powerful for using during moon phases but too powerful during full moons.

In Light and Life,

MARTIN

THE CAPRICORN NEW MOON THE ANTINOUS LAMIA MOON

TONIGHT's Capricorn New Moon is the lunar phase which in Antinous Moon Magic is called the LAMIA MOON of dark magic.

Meditation and rituals conducted tonight are best suited for rooting out malaise and sickness and for diminishing evil sendings. Look for areas in your life where you may be detrimental to yourself, may be working against yourself or may be making yourself sick, perhaps literally so.

The Lamia Moon helps you to focus on those areas and drain them of their debilitating energies. It helps you to look squarely at yourself to see what is draining you of your vitality ... so that you can chart a course towards healing and recovery ... rather than further diminishment.

Each Lunar Phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of the Lamia Moon is vicious negativity which attacks vitality. It is the Spirit of torment which seeks to dissipate and weaken. It is malaise and malevolence.

The spirit of the Lamia Moon incorporates all negativity of body and soul. It is destructive thought patterns. It is the instigator of bad habits which impair not only physical health but also mental or spiritual health.

It is sickness in the broadest sense, but it is by no means limited to physical ailment. It is a disease of the spirit. It is the debilitating failure to shake off a "sick" situation.

However, the spirit of the Lamia Moon also has the incredible ability to "sicken" and diminish harmful forces.

Just as a poison can cure, and just as a vaccine uses disease cells to build immunity to those very cells, the Lamia Moon spirit has the ability to weaken forces which are detrimental. It is the spirit of your body's immune system, waging a ceaseless and merciless battle against intruders.

The Lamia Moon spirit is debilitating and it is cruel. Yes, the Lamia spirit can be harmful, but it can also be a vital ally.

All meditations and rituals conducted during the cycle of the Capricorn New Moon are best aimed at enlisting this spirit to be your valiant ally in helping you to identify those inner areas of yourself which are weakening you from the inside out.

JANUARY 3rd to 13th, 2019

THURSDAY, JANUARY 3rd, 2019

The first week of the New Year 2019 is a time of reflection when the Sun forms a dreamy sextile aspect to intuitive Neptune, inviting you to reflect introspectively about how this year is going so far, and to start dreaming about how the rest of the year may turn out. This is the perfect evening for oracle games, scrying, dreamscaping and fortune-telling. Also, you can expect surprise tidings from the other dimensions when Mercury is in a very conducive karmic-healing square to Chiron and a trine to Uranus. Mercury-trine-Uranus always creates optimal energies for breaking down encrusted old structures and for mentally visualizing bold new solutions. Because Uranus is Retrograde, the emphasis is on the past. Retrograde Uranus opens the portals of Time and Space and Mercury enables you to go through those portals to engage in healing magic involving your own past, or past-life incarnations. Even if you do not work any magic, you can definitely count on receiving a message involving someone or something from the past.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 4th, 2019

This weekend Mercury gets down to business and moves into Capricorn. You see clearly the solution to any difficult situation. From now through 24th January 2019 (when Mercury enters Aquarius) you may find it easier to set helpful limits as the New Year settles in. This is a mentally grounded energy that can help you understand the trade-off between short-term pain and long-term gain. Mercury in Capricorn is focused on the future and eager to organize a grounded plan for success. Whatever your goals now ... a calm winter's holiday, a strong start to 2019 ... Capricorn Mercury can help you put a plan into place. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, planet of structure and focus. Mercury has a quicksilver, trickster nature. When in Saturn's sign, Mercury is urged to get organized, so a little effort goes a long way now. Consider the consequences of what you decide, and make sure the costs are truly worth it. A slow-and-steady approach will help you stay calm through the end of the year. Mercury in Capricorn embodies the idea that when you say "no" to one offer, you create space to say "yes" to another. As we move out of the holiday season and into the new year, remember to keep your eye on the prize!

SATURDAY, JANUARY 5th, 2019

This weekend, we come to the first Solar Eclipse for 2019 ... the Capricorn New Moon, which we call the LAMIA MOON of dark magic. Meditation and rituals conducted tonight are best suited for rooting out malaise and sickness and for diminishing evil sendings. Look for areas in your life where you may be detrimental to yourself, may be working against yourself or may be making yourself sick, perhaps literally so.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 6th, 2019

On Sunday, Uranus, the planet of revolutionary change, stops dead in its tracks (as seen from Earth) and goes Direct (forwards) ... ending the Retrograde Uranus crisis of the last five months. Even when going forward, Uranus shakes things up. Uranus still shakes things up for us when it goes retrograde, but it starts to do so in a very pushy way. It pushes us to dig deep and really face the problems and the roadblocks that have impeded progress. It forces us to re-evaluate our values and our priorities. From now on, you can expect only the "usual chaos" in your life, and not the shocking chaos that has occurred since 8 August 2018, when Retrograde Uranus began.

MONDAY, JANUARY 7th, 2019

On Monday, Venus soars into jovial Sagittarius, leaving behind the murky moodiness of Scorpio for another year. Sagittarius Venus is supremely optimistic and eager to give everybody the benefit of the doubt when it comes to trust in matters of love. This is in stark contrast to wary suspicions which abounded when Venus was in Scorpio. Sadge Venus encourages you to give love a chance.

TUES-WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8th-9th, 2019

Tensions soar this week when Mercury is at right angles to Mars. Some astrologers say this is when people sharpen their swords, but we prefer to say it is when people sharpen their tongues to use as weapons! Remember that lovely line from "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde (who is a Saint of Antinous, by the way): "On an occasion of this kind it becomes more than a moral duty to speak one's mind. It becomes a pleasure." This is an aspect which encourages people to say vicious and intentionally hurtful things. People are overly persnickety and bitchy and downright mean. You'll be amazed how true this is.

Seize the opportunity for transformational healing to prepare you for the world that will exist when Pluto leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius ... in 2023.

SNEAK PREVIEW OF NEXT WEEK:

Another exciting week lies ahead between January 14th and 20th when we come to the Aries First Quarter Moon, which is the Lunar Phase we call the INVICTUS MOON ... the Antinous Moon Magic spirit of Mithras ... because this lunar phase always occurs in December or January near the Solstice Birthday of Mithras ... Invictus is the bold light that shines forth from a gay man's eyes to illuminate those around him. It is the warmth of your every being ... In Antinous Moon Magic, tonight is an ideal time for meditation and rituals aimed at illuminating opaque situations or questions ... It is well-suited for planning assertive, goal-oriented action aimed at whole-heartedly positive results ... More details next time ....

THE ICARUS ASPECT ENABLES YOU TO SPREAD YOUR WINGS AND SOAR

THROUGH the ages, any audacious youth has been compared to Icarus, whose desperate attempt to escape the Minotaur's Labyrinth turned out rather differently than he and his father Daedalus had planned.

He escaped all right ... but in his elated exuberance, he soared a bit too high.

Today, children are taught the myth of Icarus as an admonition to children to be obedient and not take risks.

But in ancient times, Icarus symbolized audacity. Icarus could have stayed in the labyrinth and grown old and died.

Instead, he spread his wings and took a great leap of faith.

And ... for one brief, soaring moment ... he was free!

Ever one of us has felt this scary elation when coming out of the closet. It is risky ... disaster could ensue ... but it is better than wasting your life trapped in the confinements of a dark closet.

Jupiter and Neptune are in a risk-promoting square aspect right now.

They are urging you to strap on your wings tonight and fly away to new heights.

Yes, of course, a certain amount of caution and navigation is necessary.

But the important thing is to take a flying leap!

If you have been dithering and fretting for the longest time about taking some risk in order to achieve a long-cherished dream ... then now is the time when the planets will give you the confidence and derring-do to accomplish it.

Antinous the Gay God is telling you go ahead, jump, take the plunge, dive in. Don't just sit there thinking about doing it ... DO IT!

Jupiter/Neptune are saying get ready for a big surprise! Not necessarily a bad surprise (as happened to Icarus).

No, instead the big surprise may turn out to be that you in fact wing your way to new freedom (as happened to Daedalus).

In Light and Life and Fluttering Feathers,

HERNESTUS

2019 IS "THE YEAR OF MERCURY"

FROM an astrological viewpoint, the Year 2019 is ushering in an opportunity to enhance these areas of our lives: Mind. Communication. Intellect. Reason. Language. Intelligence.

According to a rather obscure astrological text called the "Galendarjum Oeconomicum Practicum Perpetuum," the Year 2019 is the "Year of Mercury."

The Year 2015 was the "Year of Jupiter" and 2016 it was Mars's turn to take over, then 2017 was the year of the Sun. That was followed by 2018 the "Year of Venus."

While political upheaval and emotional turmoil were the themes of 2017 and 2018, Mercury ushers in a year of verbal and mental gymnastics in 2019 ... remember that Mercury-Hermes is the Classical god of rogues, thieves and con-men ... as well as of commerce, communications and travel.

To understand fully how the Year of Mercury affects our lives, it is important to understand the other major celestial event dominating the year 2019 ... the STAR OF ANTINOUS aligned in conjunction with both PLUTO and  SATURN IN CAPRICORN.

It is highly ironic that the German alchemist and astrologer Dr. Mauritius Knauer devised his perpetual calendar based on planetary rulerships in the late 18th Century. His "Galendarjum Oeconomicum Practicum Perpetuum" was published just as the planet Pluto was entering the Sign of Capricorn.

And now Pluto is again in the Sign of Capricorn for the first time since the 18th Century.

Pluto in Capricorn is about revolutionizing age-old political and economic structures and replacing them with completely new and different structures.

Just look at the changes which occurred in the late 18th Century ... the French Revolution and the American Revolution, for starters.

Look at all the political turmoil in the world since Pluto entered Capricorn in early December 2008.

And just look at all the turmoil on the global financial markets, the Arab Spring, uprisings and warfare around the world ... and a horrific resurgence of Islamic terrorism.

Pluto will remain in Capricorn until the year 2024 ... by which time many cherished and time-honored political and economic institutions will have been swept aside forever.

Ironically, the planet Uranus was also discovered in the 18th Century, and many astrologers consider its discovery to have marked the first faint Dawning of the Age of Aquarius, the sign which Uranus rules.

Uranus, Saturn and Pluto have been in tense aspects to each other on and off for the past several years ... exacerbating all the global tensions forcing renewal and renovation.

It is going to be a very tumultuous and frightening year for many people, and it is very fitting for you to feel fear and panic in this "Year of Mercury 2019".

But there is also hope ... because Mercury is a playful trickster. He plays tricks on you and forces you to play his game ... but he does not do this in order to defeat you ... no, Mercury wants you to win at his game ... by employing all your wits and all your cunning and all your skill ... to win his game.

Of major importance during this Year of Mercury will be the three RETROGRADE MERCURY periods when Mercury appears to go "backwards" (as seen from the Earth) for about three weeks.

Here are the three Mercury Retrograde periods in 2019:

• March 5th to March 28th 2019
• July 7th to August 1st 2019
• October 31st to November 11th 2019

Mercury is the planetary ruler of Gemini and Virgo, so if you were born under those signs, then 2019 is your year. But all of the signs benefit from Mercury's cunning and slyness during this year. Here are a few pointers:

ARIES: Be alert for new opportunities to fulfil your heart's desire. Your dreams won't wait. Mercury will help you make them a reality.

TAURUS: Get out of that comfortable rut you have been living in and wallowing in. Mercury is eager to put wings on your feet and help you to fly.

GEMINI: Mercury rules your birth sign and rules this year, so this is your year to shine. In business and in personal relationships you will make lots of new contacts.

CANCER: Look deep within your heart to see what is truly important to you to achieve this year. Mercury will give you the insight and perspective to see clearly.

LEO: It's time to devote yourself to your career, because nothing can hold you back. Mercury will shine the spotlight on you as you step onto the stage.

VIRGO: Stop fretting and be proud of your ability to bring order and discipline out of the chaos of life. Mercury will help you make sense of the chaos around you so you can focus on helping others.

LIBRA: Charm your way into the good graces of important people you can advance your projects. Mercury will giving you the articulate phraseology (lies if necessary) to sweet-talk others into doing what they should do anyway to start with.

SCORPIO: Those thorny problems which have been hampering you need to be eliminated. Mercury will give you the ingenuity to find a way around them ... or through them.

SAGITTARIUS: Go ahead and allow your imagination to be fired up by new impressions all around you. Mercury will give flight to your fantasies and turn them into realities.

CAPRICORN: How about further education? Or perhaps you want to learn another language? Mercury loves people who like to learn.

AQUARIUS: You hate sameness and you love change. Mercury is ready and eager to help you discover totally new avenues of communication and ways of thinking ... and will introduce you to lots of new people too.

PISCES: Your career has been in the doldrums too long. Starting in April you can expect a big boost. Mercury will gladly give you a boost ... but you can't be shy ... be bold!
