On Tuesday, we come to the biggest sign-change of the year when Uranus leaves Aquarius, where it has been since 2011, and enters Taurus, where it will remain until 2025. With TAURUS URANUS, we can expect revolutionary changes in technology, political institutions and financial affairs, and we most certainly must reckon with increased earthquakes and natural disasters. To give you an idea of what to expect, the last time Uranus was in Taurus was from 1934 to 1942 &mash; and that period was generally marked by chaos worldwide. In the wake of the economic difficulties which lingered after the 1929 crash, many extremist regimes came to power: Franco, Mussolini, Hitler, then the establishment of the Vichy regime. Japan launched a war of aggression in the Pacific and Germany attacked its neighbors in Europe and, after a policy of isolationism, the United States went to war after the Pearl Harbour attack in 1941. We must keep in mind that some key-areas which underwent Uranian upheavals linked to Taurus may be on the agenda again: finance, agriculture, and the temptation of totalitarianism, for example.

THE ANTINOUS MOON OF STELLAR CLARITY THE SAGITTARIUS THIRD QUARTER MOON

TONIGHT Antinous the Moon God is at right angles to the Sun. This is the SAGITTARIUS THIRD QUARTER MOON, which we call the SACRED STAR phase in Antinous Moon Magic.

Each lunar phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of the SACRED STAR lunar phase is the embodiment of clarity and insight.

In the midst of confusion and chaos, the Spirit of the Star touches the top of your head and conveys sudden and total clarity. This Spirit is never deceived by appearances.

IT'S AMETRINE FOR THE DIANA MOON By Our Crystal Meditation Advisor Martin Campbell

FOR the DIANA MOON phase I have been advised by our moon phase and astrology expert that we should be delving into sibling issues as well as seeking the advice of your spiritual twin. All with a focus on "sisterhood" without gender limitations.  

Of course our siblings or sisters do not necessarily need to be living or even of the earthly realm. Many of us draw wisdom and protection from female angels, spirit guides or goddesses. 

Crystal healing and guided meditations tends to be a female dominated craft. Hence the female attributes for crystals are often very focused on menstrual cycles and childbirth. 

Not applicable to most people who will be reading this blog and not wholly pertinent to non gender specific or spiritual sisterhood either! 

So I can only recommend the following crystals:

Amazonite - these turquoise coloured crystals (above right) balance male and female energies and help you to see both sides of a situation.

Ametrine - these are increasingly rare crystals as they only come from one mine in Bolivia! I don't usually recommend rarer crystals but these help to unite female and masculine energies. 

Aventurine - these green stones (above left) help to balance male and female energies.

Moonstone - these often beautiful stones (right) also help to balance male and female energies but also assist those with male energies to get in touch with their feminine side...

THE VIRGO FULL MOON THE DIANA MOON OF ANTINOUS

TONIGHT's Virgo Full Moon is the February/March moon of sisterhood, of kindred spirits in whom you can confide, the Full Moon in the Sign the Virgin.

The Virgo Moon is always a tense time of trying not to be obsessive-compulsive and overly critical.

In Antinous Moon Magic this full moon is called the DIANA MOON. We recognize that the Moon of Diana is the Moon of Antinous. We venerate the Virgin, she who guides new life into the world, goddess of beasts, the mistress of the hounds, the archeress, the young Great Mother of Ephesus, the twin sister of Antinous the Gay God.

Diana is loving and compassionate, but she is rigorously demanding and picky.

Each Lunar Phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of Diana is the great huntress, the goddess of the moon and twin sister to Antinous.

The key word is "sisterhood" ... without gender limitations. A sister is someone who is closer even than your best friend. She is your twin, just as Diana and Antinous are twins.

When you are going through a difficult time, you may hesitate to call even your best friends because you do not want to burden them with your troubles. This is when you need a sister.

This can be a biological sibling, but more often it is a person who, regardless of gender and kinship, is your most intimate confidante. A sister is someone who, at times like these, sincerely wants to be there for you whenever she can. And she knows you are always there for her. When you do this, you invite your sister to bring her whole self to the relationship as well ... so that Diana and Antinous are one.

During the cycle of the Diana Moon, meditations and rituals are best suited for delving into sibling issues as well as seeking the advice of your spiritual twin ... whether a physical being or a spiritual entity.

On Thursday Mars the planet of action will enter Taurus and remain there until March 31st. When the God of War meets the sign of the Bull, things can plod along slowly and move at a snail's pace. While it may seem like slow going, it is a wonderful time to tackle those projects that need endurance and stamina. Mars is all about action, ambition, impulse and drive. The planet Mars was named for the ancient Roman God of War. When channeled improperly Mars energy can lead to excessive anger, violence and war. However, when used constructively this energy can invoke passion, motivation and determination. Now consider the energy of Taurus. The Bull is a stubborn and territorial animal; large and capable of aggression when provoked. While it may seem like slow going, it is a wonderful time to tackle those projects that need endurance and stamina. So putting the forces of Mars and the sign of the Bull together is a little bit like having an irresistible force meet an immovable object. Mars wants to go, go, go and Taurus wants to stubbornly remain still. Things will seem like they are at a standoff during this period. However that doesn’t mean you won't get things accomplished.

DIAMONDS SHINE FOR THE AMOR MOON By Our Crystal Meditation Advisor Martin Campbell

LOVE is what the universe is all about. Love is the most important vibration that emitted from the divine source at the beginning of the Universe.

Whatever God, Gods, Spirits, Angels, Saints, Martyrs etc that you worship, they channel love through you and you channel it back through them to the divine source.

They are all conduits for this exchange of love.

For us, of course, Antinous is that main conduit. For him the greatest symbol of Love, given physically to him by Hadrian, was an 'Adamantine' (diamond) spear head. 

It was that symbol of Love that Antinous used to display his most courageous act of Love in return. His Adamantine tipped spear killed the lion jumping to kill Hadrian.

Above is a photo of a piece of jewellery that I commissioned to contain a beautiful crystal glass intaglio of Antinous I bought. 

It features the unfortunate lion and a spear. 

One end of the spear has a heart, the other end has a tiny diamond set into the point (not visible in the photo).

We all hope to shoot our own metaphorical arrows/spears of desire into  those things or people we love. Our loving thoughts reach out from us and connect whether we realise it or not. 

We are sometimes astonished when our objects of desire, friends, family members and even animals make it obvious to us that they know, and knew all along, that we love them. 

Don't be surprised. Love is an energy just as are hate, jealousy, indifference and murderous intent. 

Love however is the strongest of all emotions/energies. It overrides all others and ALWAYS defeats negativity or evil. 

It is immensely powerful and positive and emits strong signals that we all pick up on whether we are aware of it or not.

At this time of year, therefore, and during tonight's AMOR MOON, it is so important to meditate on whom or what you love. 

Crystals have strong energies too and can boost your love arrows as they emanate from your core. 

Perhaps unsurprisingly there are more crystals that can assist you with Love than any other energy/vibration/intention/thought process you may have. 

For this moon phase the obvious crystal is the strongest of them all and that which best reflects the light of Love brought to us from and to the Source - diamonds of course!

Diamonds - Are bringers of the purest Light and help us to focus on and receive Love in the form of relationships, commitment and fidelity. Meditations using diamonds are likely to be intense, revelatory and full of imagery.

They are, though, very expensive and I try to recommend crystals that are easily affordable from crystal shops or websites. 

So, there are other more accessible stones/crystals with Love as a key aspect of their characteristics. I list just a few...

Garnets - These inspire Love and devotion and can boost your sexual energies (which may or may not be useful in this moon phase?!!).

Rose Quartz - Perhaps those crystal most readily associated with Love. They are the crystal of true and unconditional Love and can help you to attract it. 

Topaz - These wondrous gemstones (shown at left) help you to emanate Love. They bring you good health and good fortune which, obviously, makes it easier for you to be loving.

THE ANTINOUS AMOR MOON THE TAURUS FIRST QUARTER MOON

TONIGHT's Taurus First Quarter Moon is the lunar phase of young love which, in Antinous Moon Magic, we call the AMOR MOON.

Each Lunar Phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of the Amor Moon is the Great God of Love. Also known as Eros-Cupid, he is foremost of the Gods of the Religion of Antinous.

He is the first impulse upon which the world was created, and he is the beauty and perfection of all creation. He is called Phanes, the radiant being of beauty who emerged from the egg of night.

Others say that he is the son of Uranus and Gaia, or that he was born when Venus was born, and that he is the leader of a whole army of Erotes who attended Venus as she rose from the sea.

But Amor/Eros is also said to be the son of Venus, the Mother of Love, and his father is often said to be Mars, which is why Amor so often uses violence to obtain love.

Amor makes the world burn with the desire for beauty, he conquers all and is the drive that sustains life, Love is Life.

He inspires us through desire, to fight for our gratification, which is  why the stag grows horns, to do battle in the time of rut.

Often he is portrayed as a youth with wings because he is flighty and has no reason or control over his desires. Eros is madly in love with the soul, with Psyche, who dwells within all of us, he cannot resist the beauty that is in our hearts and so therefore, he never disdains us.

One of his twins is Anteros ... "Love Returned to the Lover" ... and Anteros can devolve into Zelus ... fear, envy, jealousy.

The First Quarter Taurus Moon is the moon of comfort and luxury and lovableness. It is the fresh bloom of love.

Meditations and rituals carried out tonight are best suited for delving into matters of love and romance.

CHIRON the cosmic healer is now in Aries. The wounded centaur Chiron entered Aries on 18 February 2019, after spending over seven years in the sign of Pisces, and will stay there until 2027.

This minor planet brings with it a cycle in which we will be improving our confidence, including body image. These are sensitive topics that can have a big effect on us. Personal and health problems that were hindering our progress are about to be revised and resolved.

We will be learning to assert ourselves and focus on our needs in healthy doses without feeling guilty in the process. This transit emphasizes the concept that healing begins within oneself.

This transit of Chiron is unusually long, with the heavenly body spending eight years in Aries. 

That is even longer than a Uranus transit. For comparison, when Chiron transits Libra, it takes it less than two years which is less than a Saturn transit.

Honestly, there are many issues that require resolving which is why Chiron spends so much time in Aries. 

Aries is connected to our identity. Chiron is popularly known as the wounded healer. When transiting Aries, Chiron’s goal is to heal the deepest wound of them all: our personal identity wound.

What does it mean for you? Chiron leaves a part of your chart and moves into an area you have not really explored into depth, or have not even touched at all. Chiron transiting Aries will point to the area you need to heal so that you integrate all your parts and become whole again.

It is good to remember who Chiron is ... the wisest and noblest of all the Centaurs in Classical Mythology. 

While all the other centaurs galloped off to riotous ruin and drunken oblivion, Chiron alone shared the knowledge he had inherited from the Titans ... tutoring a series of sensitive youths ... Achilles, Jason, Perseus, Theseus, Ajax, Dionysus, Hercules ... an endless list of heroes and demigods. He schooled them in the arts and sciences ... teaching them to be musicians and physicians.

It is said that Aesculapius himself became the god of medicine only through the skilled hands of Chiron ... "Chiron's skilled hands" in Greek "kheirourgos" living on today in the word "chirurgie" ... "surgeon."

Alas ... to use another word found in most Greek Myths ... Chiron was accidentally wounded by a hydra-venom arrow whilst teaching Hercules archery.

Rather than use all his powers to heal himself ... leaving nothing for his pupils ... Chiron voluntarily relinquished immortality and died ... whereupon his half-brother Zeus placed him amongst the stars as the Constellation of Sagittarius.

Grieving Hercules went on to tutor a series of twinkish youths himself ... most notably his beloved Hylas ... who was abducted by nymphs, never to be seen again ... prompting Hercules to search the world ... shouting "Hylas! Hylas!" everywhere he went.

Hylas is the source of the English word: "Alas!"

Drawing on Classical Mythology, Carl Jung coined the term "wounded healer" to describe how psychotherapists must connect with the archetype of Chiron. Jung said that the best psychoanalysts are themselves in desperate need of healing ... and that, by identifying with their inner "wounded healer," they can heal their patients ... even if they are unable to heal themselves.

Three powerfully positive sextile aspects dominate this week: Sun-sextile-Jupiter, Mercury-sextile-Mars and Mercury-sextile- Uranus. First of all, be sure to buy a lottery ticket when the Sun forms a sextile aspect with lucky Jupiter. Keep your eyes open for opportunities for good fortune. Also, this week offers the perfect opportunity for a job interview or for a presentation of a special project. Mercury is in a good sextile aspect to Mars to help you get your point across articulately and strongly to others. And finally, you may want to break loose and go off alone on some impromptu adventure when Mercury forms a sextile aspect with Uranus. If you are stuck at home with family or people you would rather avoid, this can create intolerable tensions and the desire to walk out and jump in the car and speed away. On Sunday, logic takes a backseat to emotions when Mercury leaves intellectual Aquarius and dives into the sensitive waters of Pisces. Sounds, images, shapes, memory, psychic impressions, emotional tones ... all these are absorbed as part of an overall perception. Mercury in Pisces picks up on subtleties in the atmosphere that Aquarius Mercury might not have picked up on. You can expect to be increasingly dreamy and tuned in to some distant message or inner vision.

This week Valentine's Day passions are boiling due to Venus, Mars, Uranus and Neptune. Overnight Tuesday-Wednesday, we come to the Taurus First Quarter Moon, the lunar phase of young love which, in Antinous Moon Magic, we call the ANTINOUS AMOR MOON ... this moon is perfect for Valentine's Day! Then this week, which started off so optimistically, takes a sharp turn down a spooky, dark alley at mid-week when aggressive Mars aligns with impulsive Uranus for the first time in two years ... and fortunately Mars-conjunction-Uranus will not occur again for another two years. This is the textbook recipe for armed conflict, terrorist attacks and economic collapse. On the one hand, there is a powerful yearning for a dramatic new beginning. That is a good thing, in general. But on the other hand, there are ruthless people who take advantage of that yearning to push their own agendas for changing the world to fit their own selfish ends. Quite aside from global politics and economics, you will sense these tensions in your own domestic life and on the job. Remember to keep your head and strive for compromise while others lose their heads or ram their heads through the wall.

On Thursday Mars the planet of action will enter Taurus and remain there until March 31st. When the God of War meets the sign of the Bull, things can plod along slowly and move at a snail's pace. While it may seem like slow going, it is a wonderful time to tackle those projects that need endurance and stamina. Mars is all about action, ambition, impulse and drive. The planet Mars was named for the ancient Roman God of War. When channeled improperly Mars energy can lead to excessive anger, violence and war. However, when used constructively this energy can invoke passion, motivation and determination. Now consider the energy of Taurus. The Bull is a stubborn and territorial animal; large and capable of aggression when provoked. While it may seem like slow going, it is a wonderful time to tackle those projects that need endurance and stamina. So putting the forces of Mars and the sign of the Bull together is a little bit like having an irresistible force meet an immovable object. Mars wants to go, go, go and Taurus wants to stubbornly remain still. Things will seem like they are at a standoff during this period. However that doesn’t mean you won't get things accomplished.

Finally, the weekend of February 16th-17th is a time of reflection when Venus forms a dreamy sextile aspect to intuitive Neptune, inviting you to reflect introspectively about how this year is going so far, and to start dreaming about how the rest of the year may turn out. This is the perfect evening for oracle games, scrying, dreamscaping and fortune-telling.

TIGER'S EYE FOR THE OBELISK MOON By Our Crystal Meditation Advisor Martin Campbell

TONIGHT's Aquarius New Moon is the OBELISK MOON of Antinous ... the lunar phase for focusing on education, learning and expression through writing.

I am an author of historical so the ability to research and get the correct facts about something are vital to me. So I am only going to recommend one crystal for this moon as it the one I know personally works wonders - Tiger's Eye.

Tiger's Eye is also my birth stone and one of my absolute favourites to work with. 

It brings clarity to that which you are paying attention to. It has the ability to help you to bring together scattered information into a coherent whole. It helps you to accomplish goals.

It is also a stone of protection - used throughout history as a talisman.

While writing my novel about Antinous - THE LOVE GOD - I used a pendulum made of Tiger's Eye to give me guidance. 

I wanted to know specific facts about the complexities of two ancient sites in Greece and one in Egypt. 

You can only ask a pendulum questions with a 'yes' or 'no' answer as it will only rotate one way for each answer (clockwise or anti-clockwise). 

To my astonishment the pendulum answered all my questions and prompted me to formulate more which it then also answered!

The scenes were those set in Delphi and Eleusis in Greece and Antinoopolis in Egypt.

If you have read the book then the final scene was guided to me by the Tiger's Eye pendulum as I asked it to give me answers about the site.

It was a lengthy process but revealed positions of things, the gender of people and what their roles were. Truly amazing!

THE AQUARIUS NEW MOON THE OBELISK MOON OF ANTINOUS

TONIGHT's Aquarius New Moon is always a special lunar occurrence. Not only is it Chinese New Year, it is also the ANTINOUS OBELISK MOON in Antinous Moon Magic.

The Aquarius New Moon is always the Chinese New Year, and it usually occurs near or on such festivals as Candlemas, Luminaria, Imbolc and Brighid's Day ... all festivals of shedding light on secrets, oracles (Groundhog Day), revealing secret knowledge, news, predictions.

Each Lunar Phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of the Obelisk Moon is knowledge in all its forms, knowledge which is gained through study and learning.

This is the Spirit of education, training, schooling, apprenticeship and initiation into knowledge restricted to a few. In ancient times, knowledge of reading and writing was limited to a select few. Language was a matter of sacred symbols, thus the word "hieroglyphs" or "sacred writing" which was given to mortals by the scribe deity Thoth, whose sacred bird is the ibis.

The masses could not read hieroglyphs incised on an obelisk, thus the obelisk became a symbol of secret or arcane knowledge.

The Obelisk of Antinous, which now stands on the Pincian Hill in Rome, was incised with hieroglyphs which, in the 2nd Century AD, almost no one could read, not even Egyptians.

Yet the hieroglyphs on the Obelisk of Antinous give us precious information on the life and religion of Antinous. It is a key font of knowledge about Antinous.

In the Religion of Antinous, the Obelisk represents knowledge which comes from the divine. It represents the liberation from ignorance that knowledge brings about.

It stands for the Great Library of Alexandria and for all the libraries in all the world and for all the books in all those libraries.

The Obelisk is the spirit of all-encompassing power of knowledge in all of its forms, in print, over the internet or over airwaves.

It is knowledge that enables you to broaden your mortal mind to encompass the cosmos. You are the cosmos becoming aware of itself through knowledge.
