JANUARY 16th-26th, 2020
THURSDAY, JANUARY 16th, 2020
This week, it's time to take advantage of those Clearance Sales and buy a new smartphone, tablet or other communications device when Mercury enters the tech-friendly and communications-conscious sign of Aquarius. This is the best time of year for communications technology upgrades. But hurry, because Mercury leaves Aquarius on February 3rd and dives into the dreamy waters of Pisces.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 17th, 2020
On Friday, it's time to take serious decisions about the New Year when we come to the Libra Third Quarter Moon. This is the lunar phase we call the CROSSROADS MOON in Antinous Moon Magic ... It is symbolized by the "Herme", the ithyphallic stele of Mercury which guarded intersections of Roman roads ... Tonight is a propitious time for setting a new course, possibly changing course, setting out in a new direction. It is about making a decision. The key is not to worry about which choice to make. The key is to make a choice and go ahead with it.
SAT-SUNDAY, JAN. 18th-19th, 2020
This weekend, vengeance and enmity ignite anew when Mercury and Uranus are in a 90-degree right angle to each other. People act impulsively without thinking of the consequences ... consequences they will surely regret.
MON-WEDNESDAY, JAN. 20th-22nd, 2020
The month of January 2020 will go down in astrological history as a turning point in LGBT history ... when Saturn and Pluto were aligned in conjunction with the THE STAR OF ANTINOUS in Capricorn. This planetary configuration has not occurred for many centuries and certainly will not occur again during our lifetimes. The conjunction of Saturn and Pluto with the Star of Antinous is unprecedented in modern times. Every Saturn-Pluto conjunction (or opposition) is historic. Looking back at previous cycles, we can see that a Saturn-Pluto conjunction occurred in October 1914, around the outbreak of World War I. In 1931, Saturn and Pluto formed an opposition in Capricorn and Cancer, defining an era that included the Great Depression.
The next Saturn-Pluto cycle commenced in 1947, soon after World War II ended; Germany and Japan lost military influence and dominance, and the power struggle between Capitalism and Communism gained greater intensity. Saturn and Pluto were in opposition in 1966, when the Vietnam War peaked, accentuating the division between the two blocs.
The following cycle of 1982 marked a time of economic recession in the world, with the highest rate of unemployment in the U.S. since the Great Depression. It also marked the escalation of the Cold War during the Reagan years, later leading to the collapse of the Soviet bloc.
The last time that Saturn and Pluto were in opposition was in the autumn of 2001 ... when the 9/11 terrorism attacks changed the world.
It is frankly difficult to predict how this Sun-Mercury-Saturn-Pluto alignment will be affected by the Star of Antinous ... because there are no historical documents in any astrological record for such a configuration. But we can be certain that tremendous forces are at play for LGBT rights.
And there is more ... Jupiter will catch up to and conjoin with Pluto and the Star of Antinous in April 2020, which adds more momentum and drama to these influences. The giant and the dwarf planets may seem quite different from each other, but both of them represent an aspiration for growth and prosperity. Jupiter-Pluto cycles work on both the material level, where they increase ambition for greater abundance and development, and the spiritual level, where they reflect a deep yearning for Truth.
In short, we can be certain that 2020 will go down in history as a turning point for LGBT spirituality and legal rights. In a positive way, these configurations reflect a remarkable ability to transform difficulty into opportunity, both individually and collectively.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 23rd, 2020
This week, the Sun and Uranus are in a 90-degree square aspect to each other. This aspect creates unreliability and betrayal amongst friends, allies and coworkers. Stress and rancour and lots of rage and unrest are the result. In addition, you will want to watch out for excesses in eating, drinking, spending money and falling in love when indulgent Venus forms an expansive sextile aspect with exaggeration-prone Jupiter. If you are a latent shopoholic, this is the one week of the year where you will max out on your addiction ... while maxing out on your credit card. This is a good day for smooth-talking gigolos who pay fanciful compliments to you ... and you find yourself actually believing them ... And why not? Is that such a bad thing? Why not enjoy the fantasy as long as it lasts ... and as long as you know it's a fantasy?
FRI-SATURDAY, JAN. 24th-25th, 2020
Overnight Friday-Saturday,when we come to the AQUARIUS NEW MOON — which in Antinous Moon Magic we call the OBELISK MOON — the lunar phase embodying knowledge in all its forms, knowledge which is gained through study and learning. The Aquarius New Moon is also always CHINESE NEW YEAR and 2020 is the Year of the Metal Rat. Though not the most beloved of animals, the Rat is ranked first in the Chinese zodiac for its spirit, humour, awareness, delicacy, flexibility and vitality.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 26th, 2020
This weekend offers in the perfect opportunity for a job interview or for a presentation of a special project. Mercury is in a good sextile aspect to Mars to help you get your point across articulately and strongly to others.
SNEAK PREVIEW OF NEXT WEEK:
