JANUARY 23rd to FEBRUARY 2nd, 2020
THURSDAY, JANUARY 23rd, 2020
The month of January 2020 will go down in astrological history as a turning point in LGBT history ... when Saturn and Pluto were aligned in conjunction with the THE STAR OF ANTINOUS in Capricorn. This planetary configuration has not occurred for many centuries and certainly will not occur again during our lifetimes. The conjunction of Saturn and Pluto with the Star of Antinous is unprecedented in modern times. Every Saturn-Pluto conjunction (or opposition) is historic. Looking back at previous cycles, we can see that a Saturn-Pluto conjunction occurred in October 1914, around the outbreak of World War I. In 1931, Saturn and Pluto formed an opposition in Capricorn and Cancer, defining an era that included the Great Depression.
The next Saturn-Pluto cycle commenced in 1947, soon after World War II ended; Germany and Japan lost military influence and dominance, and the power struggle between Capitalism and Communism gained greater intensity. Saturn and Pluto were in opposition in 1966, when the Vietnam War peaked, accentuating the division between the two blocs.
The following cycle of 1982 marked a time of economic recession in the world, with the highest rate of unemployment in the U.S. since the Great Depression. It also marked the escalation of the Cold War during the Reagan years, later leading to the collapse of the Soviet bloc.
The last time that Saturn and Pluto were in opposition was in the autumn of 2001 ... when the 9/11 terrorism attacks changed the world.
It is frankly difficult to predict how this Sun-Mercury-Saturn-Pluto alignment will be affected by the Star of Antinous ... because there are no historical documents in any astrological record for such a configuration. But we can be certain that tremendous forces are at play for LGBT rights.
And there is more ... Jupiter will catch up to and conjoin with Pluto and the Star of Antinous in April 2020, which adds more momentum and drama to these influences. The giant and the dwarf planets may seem quite different from each other, but both of them represent an aspiration for growth and prosperity. Jupiter-Pluto cycles work on both the material level, where they increase ambition for greater abundance and development, and the spiritual level, where they reflect a deep yearning for Truth.
In short, we can be certain that 2020 will go down in history as a turning point for LGBT spirituality and legal rights. In a positive way, these configurations reflect a remarkable ability to transform difficulty into opportunity, both individually and collectively.
On Thursday, the Sun and Uranus are in a 90-degree square aspect to each other. This aspect creates unreliability and betrayal amongst friends, allies and coworkers. Stress and rancour and lots of rage and unrest are the result. In addition, you will want to watch out for excesses in eating, drinking, spending money and falling in love when indulgent Venus forms an expansive sextile aspect with exaggeration-prone Jupiter. If you are a latent shopoholic, this is the one week of the year where you will max out on your addiction ... while maxing out on your credit card. This is a good day for smooth-talking gigolos who pay fanciful compliments to you ... and you find yourself actually believing them ... And why not? Is that such a bad thing? Why not enjoy the fantasy as long as it lasts ... and as long as you know it's a fantasy?
FRI-SATURDAY, JAN. 24th-25th, 2020
Overnight Friday-Saturday,when we come to the AQUARIUS NEW MOON — which in Antinous Moon Magic we call the OBELISK MOON — the lunar phase embodying knowledge in all its forms, knowledge which is gained through study and learning. Though not the most beloved of animals, the Rat is ranked first in the Chinese zodiac for its spirit, humour, awareness, delicacy, flexibility and vitality.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 26th, 2020
This weekend offers in the perfect opportunity for a job interview or for a presentation of a special project. Mercury is in a good sextile aspect to Mars to help you get your point across articulately and strongly to others.
MONDAY, JANUARY 27th, 2020
On Monday, the "Black Moon" Lilith will enter Aries, where it will remain until October 2020. Astronomically, Black Moon Lilith is a mathematical point in space. Think of it as an invisible centre of gravity pulling at the moon as it goes around the earth, and which the moon aligns with once a month when it is furthest away (at its 'apogee'). Astrologically, In an astrology chart, Black Moon Lilith represents a person’s primitive impulses and behavior in their rawest form. It reveals our repressed sexuality, together with what makes us feel most vulnerable; it expresses the dark side of one’s personality, buried deep in the subconscious realms of our psyche. Aries Lilith empowers women, LGBTQ people and minorities to assert themselves and to fight for their rights to equality with while privileged males.
TUES-THURSDAY, JANUARY 28th-30th, 2020
This week, romantic Venus moves into conjunction with dreamy Neptune and both planets are in a 90-degree square angle to aggressive Mars. Things start out romantically when love goddess Venus and emotionally deep Neptune align in conjunction in dreamy Pisces. Passion and compassion are the bywords — but watch out for over-indulgence in Neptunian party drugs and alcohol. However, Venus and Mars are in a 90-degree right angle to each other, causing chaos in love relationships. This is the astrological textbook recipe for a relationship in which tempers are always hot, the sex is always hot, passions are always hot and in which you are fighting violently with each other one moment — and then violently having sex the next moment. But things are exacerbated and the hazard lights start flashing when eager Sagittarius Mars squares off against nebulous Pisces Neptune. Imagine yourself barreling down a freeway at high speed ... and suddenly being enveloped in a fog bank which cuts visibility to zero. If you don't reduce speed immediately, you are bound for disaster. Gemini Mars is the fast sports car thundering down the highway ... and Pisces Neptune is the fog bank ... and you are in the driver's seat. This astrological configuration spells trouble for people who proceed full speed through life without any regard to their surroundings. They will come a cropper this week. However, this Mars-Neptune Square configuration is excellent for people who have latent intuitive, artistic or spiritual talents ... like Antinous-Dionysus. Mars invigorates and enlivens these talents. So the answer is: Proceed with caution, but keep your eyes open for brilliant new opportunities and insights which otherwise would have flashed past you unseen at high speed.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd, 2020
In ancient times Antinous was famous for love spells and you can see for yourself this weekend when love goddess Venus is in a sexy sextile aspect with darkly magical Pluto and THE STAR OF ANTINOUS. Venus sextile Pluto gives you the ability to cast a really powerful kind of love spell on others. We all know that love spells can go any which way. They can bind two people’s affections together in ways that are movingly romantic and passionate or dangerously unbalanced and obsessive. Pluto tends to manifest in extremes, so with this planet in aspect to Venus, your planet of romance, love affairs tend to swing from one end of the emotional spectrum to the next. You'll often find yourself on the receiving end of some obsessively intense attractions but you’re certainly prone to experiencing all-consuming feelings of attraction toward the object of your desire. Go ahead, give it love a chance.
SNEAK PREVIEW OF NEXT WEEK:
Another exciting week lies ahead between February 3rd and 9th when we come to the lunar phase we call the LION HUNT MOON, the LEO FULL MOON. It is a reminder that Antinous slew a man-eating lion in Egypt. Antinous peered out into the barren wilderness with all its deep and hidden dangers. He charged forth, his bridle-reins in one hand and an adamantine-tipped spear in the other, and he faced the beast unafraid. For Antinous knew he would triumph over death. The Spirit of the Lion Hunt is the bravery of Antinous the Lion Slayer ... More details next time ....
