This weekend, Venus leaves stodgy Capricorn and enters socially interactive Aquarius, so you may feel an irresistible urge to check your social network even before you get out of bed. About three times each year, Mercury the communications wizard turns into Mercury the fast-talking con man. This is the RETROGRADE MERCURY phase, and it lasts about three weeks. RETROGRADE MERCURY will be serving up glitches and snafus in communications, computers, transport, travel and social media. If you are buying a new mobile phone, be sure to read the fine print about hidden costs. Planning to move into a new apartment? Check the kitchen and bathroom for tell-tale signs of mold before signing the lease. Remember over the next three weeks that MERCURY wants you to play his sly game to win — not to be a whining victim. Make him proud of the way you play his game!

TUESDAY, MARCH 5th, 2019

On Tuesday, we come to the biggest sign-change of the year when Uranus leaves Aquarius, where it has been since 2011, and enters Taurus, where it will remain until 2025. With TAURUS URANUS, we can expect revolutionary changes in technology, political institutions and financial affairs, and we most certainly must reckon with increased earthquakes and natural disasters. To give you an idea of what to expect, the last time Uranus was in Taurus was from 1934 to 1942 &mash; and that period was generally marked by chaos worldwide. In the wake of the economic difficulties which lingered after the 1929 crash, many extremist regimes came to power: Franco, Mussolini, Hitler, then the establishment of the Vichy regime. Japan launched a war of aggression in the Pacific and Germany attacked its neighbors in Europe and, after a policy of isolationism, the United States went to war after the Pearl Harbour attack in 1941. We must keep in mind that some key-areas which underwent Uranian upheavals linked to Taurus may be on the agenda again: finance, agriculture, and the temptation of totalitarianism, for example.

It is as if a theatrical stage spotlight is fitted with a greenish filter which casts a dreamy light onto the stage which bathes everything in watery pastel greens. This can make it difficult for you to make important decisions. But it can also help you to look deeper into your heart to help you make those decisions on a deeply intuitive basis.

On Friday, the Sun forms a cozy sextile aspect with Saturn, which provides an opportunity to slow down and stand back and review what plans you have in store for the year. No matter how fast and furiously (and destructively) things have been occurring so far this New Year, you now have a chance to analyse and study what needs to be done to ensure things are smoother the rest of the year.

On Sunday, Mars sextile Neptune creates a magical moment. It is possible now to take a balanced approach to conflict, problems and projects that require effort. This can combine both a gentle touch and firm action, sensitivity and forcefulness. Negotiation and interaction with others could be aggressive and determined now, but also balanced with sensitivity and style. Any expressions of anger, frustration or discontent are more likely to be tempered with fairness, moderation and composure.

THE ANTINOUS MOON OF STELLAR CLARITY THE SAGITTARIUS THIRD QUARTER MOON

TONIGHT Antinous the Moon God is at right angles to the Sun. This is the SAGITTARIUS THIRD QUARTER MOON, which we call the SACRED STAR phase in Antinous Moon Magic.

Each lunar phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of the SACRED STAR lunar phase is the embodiment of clarity and insight.

In the midst of confusion and chaos, the Spirit of the Star touches the top of your head and conveys sudden and total clarity. This Spirit is never deceived by appearances.

It always sees clearly. It sees through every facade. It sees behind all barriers. It sees through the blackest darkness. It shines as a beacon, lighting the way ahead.

IT'S AMETRINE FOR THE DIANA MOON By Our Crystal Meditation Advisor Martin Campbell

FOR the DIANA MOON phase I have been advised by our moon phase and astrology expert that we should be delving into sibling issues as well as seeking the advice of your spiritual twin. All with a focus on "sisterhood" without gender limitations.  

Of course our siblings or sisters do not necessarily need to be living or even of the earthly realm. Many of us draw wisdom and protection from female angels, spirit guides or goddesses. 

Crystal healing and guided meditations tends to be a female dominated craft. Hence the female attributes for crystals are often very focused on menstrual cycles and childbirth. 

Not applicable to most people who will be reading this blog and not wholly pertinent to non gender specific or spiritual sisterhood either! 

So I can only recommend the following crystals:

Amazonite - these turquoise coloured crystals (above right) balance male and female energies and help you to see both sides of a situation.

Ametrine - these are increasingly rare crystals as they only come from one mine in Bolivia! I don't usually recommend rarer crystals but these help to unite female and masculine energies. 

Aventurine - these green stones (above left) help to balance male and female energies.

Moonstone - these often beautiful stones (right) also help to balance male and female energies but also assist those with male energies to get in touch with their feminine side...

THE VIRGO FULL MOON THE DIANA MOON OF ANTINOUS

TONIGHT's Virgo Full Moon is the February/March moon of sisterhood, of kindred spirits in whom you can confide, the Full Moon in the Sign the Virgin.

The Virgo Moon is always a tense time of trying not to be obsessive-compulsive and overly critical.

In Antinous Moon Magic this full moon is called the DIANA MOON. We recognize that the Moon of Diana is the Moon of Antinous. We venerate the Virgin, she who guides new life into the world, goddess of beasts, the mistress of the hounds, the archeress, the young Great Mother of Ephesus, the twin sister of Antinous the Gay God.

Diana is loving and compassionate, but she is rigorously demanding and picky.

Each Lunar Phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of Diana is the great huntress, the goddess of the moon and twin sister to Antinous.

The key word is "sisterhood" ... without gender limitations. A sister is someone who is closer even than your best friend. She is your twin, just as Diana and Antinous are twins.

When you are going through a difficult time, you may hesitate to call even your best friends because you do not want to burden them with your troubles. This is when you need a sister.

This can be a biological sibling, but more often it is a person who, regardless of gender and kinship, is your most intimate confidante. A sister is someone who, at times like these, sincerely wants to be there for you whenever she can. And she knows you are always there for her. When you do this, you invite your sister to bring her whole self to the relationship as well ... so that Diana and Antinous are one.

During the cycle of the Diana Moon, meditations and rituals are best suited for delving into sibling issues as well as seeking the advice of your spiritual twin ... whether a physical being or a spiritual entity.
