SATURN IN ARIES
(2025 - 2028)

IN May of 2025, Saturn ... planet of discipline, responsibility, and structure ... shifts from sensitive Pisces into fiery Aries, where it will remain on and off until April 2028.

Planet Saturn is associated with boundaries, structures, responsibility, and lessons. This hard taskmaster has not been very happy in Pisces, which prefers to dissolve barriers and go with the flow. If the past two years felt like trudging through a river of jello, you can blame this transit. Once the ringed planet bounces into Aries, the vibe shifts to lights, camera, and action!

Saturn is in its "fall" in Aries, which means it is in the opposite sign of Libra, which Saturn rules. In Libra, Saturn is able to show the karmic results of past actions. But Aries is not concerned with that. Instead, it wants to sally forth without worrying about the consequences.

Aries prefers to take brave chances and see where the road leads. Saturn’s disciplined approach adds necessary caution to the impulsive Ram, which means we can harness this energy in a thoughtful, practical manner. Instead of boldly going where no one has gone before, a plan is favored. That may mean looking before you take the leap or taking more time than usual. This will not hinder Aries's tendency to make snap decisions. Instead, it helps to create calculated risks.

This cosmic event spans almost three years, offering ample opportunities to begin new projects during this transit, provided you lay a strong foundation first. Saturn loves structures, and Aries is more than happy to get to work on building new things. During this transit, you may be ready to start a new chapter, business, or other endeavor. Tap into this enterprising spirit, and you could start an exciting chapter.

Because Aries likes to take the wheel, this period could bring courageous new leaders. The old guard is ready to step back and pass the baton. Of course, some may refuse to let go, but Saturn in Aries demands they get with the new times if they wish to stay relevant. This could mean power struggles are possible. A few may be willing to fight for their legacy, even though Saturn in Aries is more concerned with starting fresh.

Aries is known for being impatient, which is a quality to guard against. Real growth is possible, but it won’t happen overnight. Like planting a garden, there is work to do once the seed is planted. In time, the sprouts will appear. You cannot force this to happen. Therefore, it is vital to remain patient, trusting that the work being done will produce results in due time.

Do remember that Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. Responsible Saturn may seem like a strict parent reining in a wild child when moving through the sign of the Ram. However, the opposing energy between Saturn's need for discipline and Aries’s desire to leap into the unknown can help all of us find the balance between enthusiastic blind faith and practical adulting.

Lastly, Aries is known for being warlike. Saturn in Aries could bring out the aggressive side in some folks. The "might makes right" thing might seem like the way to go until it does not prove to be efficient or effective. Stern Saturn wants to temper the fire with reason. If that can be achieved, it is less likely that boundaries will be crossed and more likely that the peace will be kept.

The last Saturn in Aries cycle (1996-1999) was a major moment of restructuring systems. Aries brings trailblazing, maybe even chaotic, energy and Saturn demands long term growth. As a result, this timeline saw expansion of the internet and the rise of tech giants like Amazon and Google.

Advances in technology came in swinging and revolutionized communication and commerce and our day-to-day lives. Personal computers became a necessity and reflected Saturn’s structured integration of innovation into everyday life. It is wild to reflect on the differences that occurred between 1996-1999. We all got personal computers, we all got email addresses, we all got "online." Both for better and for worse, our day to day habits changed drastically.

Personal responsibility is another Saturn in Aries theme. Rather than relying on others, this transit prefers that you do it yourself. That also means accepting your role in your current circumstances instead of pointing fingers at others. If you drop the blame game and take accountability, you will see a massive uptick in your growth.

Saturn moving  through Aries is a powerful reminder that discipline and courage go hand in hand. By embracing the lessons of this transit, we can emerge stronger, more self-assured, and ready to take on life's challenges with purpose. Let this be a time of growth, resilience, and meaningful transformation.
