On Friday Mars eagerly leaves watery Pisces and enters fiery Aries, where the war god feels much more at home. This leaves Mars free to radiate far more energy to all of us, so you can expect to feel "re-charged" in coming days and weeks. Just one word of caution: The Martian transition from Pisces to Aries is very abrupt. Tempers may flare. Just turn a blind eye to hurtful remarks made during the heat of the moment. This is the flaming climax to the THE YEAR OF MARS 2016-17 which began at the March Equinox last year and will end at this year's Equinox. The final few weeks will be explosive now that Mars is in its home base of Aries.

We don't know about you, but this Antinous astrologer is exhausted from the shenanigans of this past year ... 2016 was the Year of the Fire Monkey! Surprise after surprise (both fabulous and panic-laden) swung most of our ways. Following 12 months of the wit and hyperactive Monkey, the New Year of the Fire Rooster is going to bring fresh challenges requiring quick wit and practical solutions! Fire Roosters spend much of their time perfecting their images. They’re terrific social organizers and excellent leaders. However they are overly blunt and this trait often hurts the feelings of others ... so you can expect another fiery year.

On Sunday "mental" Mercury aligns in conjunction with "investigative" Pluto, allowing us the chance to deftly channel our "inner detective" to get to the bottom of things, if we so desire ... although, we may also want to practice some measure of discretion with respect to how, when, and with whom we ultimately decide to share any of our findings. As most of us know: once we put something "out there," it’s there for good. By the way, the Scottish writer, Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of "Sherlock Holmes," had his natal Mercury in a tight conjunction with Pluto in Taurus in his "hidden" twelfth house. Michael Jackson was another person with this same planetary aspect, an influence which can also give us a "flair for the dramatic." Mercury-Pluto also tends to inject more passion (Pluto) into our communications (Mercury).

This is another week dominated by the Jupiter-opposition-Uranus aspect which has brought us so much confusion and woe. ... a rather frightening aspect which occurs only once every 12 years. The last time Jupiter opposition Uranus occurred was on 30th August 2003. These two major planets are now in exact, 180-degree opposition to each other ... and will remain very closely aligned through most of 2017. After that, they will be in opposition in 2031 and 2045. Jupiter opposite Uranus signals a year of sudden and often reckless change. On the global level, that means sudden crises caused by incautious leaders who act without thinking about what they are doing. On the personal level, you will feel a strong urge to react, or rebel against anything that is stopping you from having fun and doing what you want. The expansive nature of Jupiter, the shocking nature of Uranus, and the antagonistic nature of the opposition mean that there is likely to be particular sudden event that releases built up tension and leads to a major change in circumstances. On the spiritual level, a change in beliefs or social interaction may be all it takes to act as a "restart" which causes people to reassesses their religious beliefs. At the deeper level, you are seeking a burst of higher awareness, to transcend your daily routine and bring on a spiritual growth spurt. Then on Tuesday vengeance and enmity ignite erupt when Mercury and Uranus are in a 90-degree right angle to each other, completing a week dominated by explosive Uranian configurations. This is the second time this year that Mercury square Uranus has plagued us. The last time, in mid-July, was a time rife with mass shootings and terrorist attacks. The stresses are intensified later in the week when Mercury is in a tight, 90-degree square angle to Jupiter. Beware of online websites that promote gross exaggerations or promises that sound too good to be true — because most likely they aren't true. Or on a whim, you might take on a large assignment on the mistaken belief that you can easily manage it, when in fact it overwhelms you. Moderation and caution are the keywords for Mercury square Jupiter. On the other hand: don't be so cautious that you fail to buy a lottery ticket — because Mercury square Jupiter can sometimes favor the underdog with unexpected good fortune.

This weekend Venus leaves dreamy and romantic Pisces and charges into hot and horny Aries. Sitting in front of your computer wistfully fantasizing about Mr. Right suddenly gives way to the urge to go out and find him ... and not stop until you have found him. Aries Venus can be overly assertive and me-firsty in relationships. But if you are congenitally shy and retiring, this means you may finally work up the audacity to stand up for yourself ... and about time, too. But move fast because Venus leaves Aries on April 30th to settle down in placid and docile Taurus, where Venus prefers the comforts of home.
