On Monday Jupiter is in opposition to Uranus ... a rather frightening aspect which occurs only once every 12 years. The last time Jupiter opposition Uranus occurred was on 30th August 2003. These two major planets will be in exact, 180-degree opposition to each other twice in 2017 ... 2 March 2017 and 28 September 2017. After that, they will be in opposition in 2031 and 2045. Jupiter opposite Uranus signals a year of sudden and often reckless change. On the global level, that means sudden crises caused by incautious leaders who act without thinking about what they are doing. On the personal level, you will feel a strong urge to react, or rebel against anything that is stopping you from having fun and doing what you want. The expansive nature of Jupiter, the shocking nature of Uranus, and the antagonistic nature of the opposition mean that there is likely to be particular sudden event that releases built up tension and leads to a major change in circumstances. On the spiritual level, a change in beliefs or social interaction may be all it takes to act as a "restart" which causes people to reasses their religious beliefs. At the deeper level, you are seeking a burst of higher awareness, to transcend your daily routine and bring on a spiritual growth spurt.

On Tuesday the Sun, Mercury and Mars cause unrest. First, Sun sextile Mars encourages people to believe they can do anything ... and get away with anything. On the negative side, people run amok and even the weather can be more than usually unpredictable and destructive. On the positive side, however, you might accidentally run into the new love of your life ... while running for shelter. Also on Tuesday your intuition is enhanced when Mercury forms a sextile aspect with dreamy Neptune. You should trust your intuition about financial and business matters, but be wary of fast-talking salesmen who try to cloud your mind. You can count on finding the right word at the right time by trusting your inner voice. And because Mercury is Retrograde, you can expect inspiration to come from the past ... perhaps an old song ... an old movie ... an old holiday memory of something a departed loved one told you years ago.

On Wednesday Retrograde Mercury aligns in conjunction with the Sun. Old astrology texts dating back to Ancient Rome call this a potentially hazardous time, and speak of a SCORCHED MERCURY which impairs communications and judgment. But in ANTINOUS MOON MAGIC, we see that very differently. This Sun/Mercury conjunction is indeed intense, but in a positive way. Antinous/Mercury focuses the gay spiritual light of his heavenly father Ra-Herakhte right at you. Open your spiritual heart to the light and joy and permit it to burn away all doubt and all fear and trepidation. Most people live in spiritual darkness. They are like people who live in caves and are afraid of sunlight because it hurts their eyes. But should we shun the light and stay in the cave with them? Antinous/Mercury says it's safe to open your spiritual eyes — and spiritual heart — and become accustomed to the light.

Overnight Wednesday/Thursday we come to the Capricorn New Moon, which we call the LAMIA MOON of dark magic. Meditation and rituals conducted tonight are best suited for rooting out malaise and sickness and for diminishing evil sendings. Look for areas in your life where you may be detrimental to yourself, may be working against yourself or may be making yourself sick, perhaps literally so. Later on Thursday tempers flare when Mercury sextile Mars prompts people to lose their cool and lash out at each other .... verbally or physically.
FRIDAY DECEMBER 30th, 2016
On Friday Uranus the planet of revolutionary change stops dead in its tracks (as seen from Earth) and goes Direct (forwards) ... ending the Retrograde Uranus crisis of the last five months. Even when going forward, Uranus shakes things up. Uranus still shakes things up for us when it goes retrograde, but it starts to do so in a very pushy way. It pushes us to dig deep and really face the problems and the roadblocks that have impeded progress. It forces us to re-evaluate our values and our priorities. From now on, you can expect only the "usual chaos" in your life, and not the shocking chaos that has occurred since July 29th when Retrograde Uranus began.
