ASTRO FORECAST: DECEMBER 17th—27th, 2020

Antinous Astrology Forecast

DECEMBER 17-27, 2020

THURS-FRIDAY, DEC. 17th-18th, 2020

On Thursday, SATURN ENTERS AQUARIUS, occupying its airy home for the first time since 1994, aside from a brief stint early in 2020 before going retrograde. This is especially important for Millennials born between 1990 and 1994 who will be experiencing their first Saturn Return. With a windy gale at its back, Saturn in Aquarius will turn its scythe toward unknown terrain in order to gather and harvest wisdom off the mainstream path and beyond the norm. Saturn feels secure, strong, and comfortably at home in Aquarius, but discovers a different kind of expression than when residing in its other home of Capricorn where it is surrounded by dense stone and earthly matters. In the airy climate of Aquarius, Saturn turns its slow and steady gaze outward, reordering structures and boundaries in order to make connections, distribute information, and develop innovations.

Change will be in the air as Saturn enters Aquarius, for it will immediately begin forming a catalytic square aspect with impetuous Uranus in Taurus. We will feel the volatile effect of Uranus through questioning the boundaries we erect in our life and beginning a process of restructuring them. Rather than holding on to old conceptions we have been attached to, we will become more interested in experimenting and beginning to break free from whatever the status quo has been for us.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 19th, 2020

This weekend, Jupiter enters Aquarius for the first time in 12 years. While Jupiter soars through Aquarius, from 18 December 2020 to 30 December 2021 (excepting the period 13 May — 29 July 2021 when it moves forward into Pisces and then back again), visions of a new future are likely to abound both personally and globally, with a multitude of advocates for a different and more progressive world appearing. It is a time for increased enlightenment, for greater discovery, knowledge and understanding, particularly in science and technology, global communications and the internet and a new, more ethical mind-set where these are concerned.

There is a strong urge to move on, to improve things, to have more individualism, freedom, equality and human rights, and consequently increased dissatisfaction with and opposition to conventional attitudes, out-of-date hierarchies and old structures that prevent such progress. There is likely to be an increase in people who see things differently, who want reform, who want change, who are willing to experiment with something out of the ordinary, all in a quest for a new, better life. This surge for change means protests and rebellions are likely to be rife, but a much greater sense of vision, for what can be, uplifts and energises, to give faith in the future and the belief in miraculous change!

Jupiter’s transit of Aquarius adds to the instability already being brought in with URANUS IN TAURUS (Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius), which is bringing shocks and insecurity into our everyday lives by breaking the usual mould apart, to urge us to break free from our usual practices and traditions and what we have essentially outgrown.

So this is indeed a time that challenges us to change, to open our minds to other possibilities and options. With Saturn also in Aquarius during this time bringing a climate of fear and resistance to change, any change or reform can be an uphill struggle, but with hard work and perseverance, realism and planning, enduring alternatives can eventually be established.

Jupiter is the Planet of Expansion, Improvement and Opportunity, so Jupiter in Aquarius is a time when the spirit of rebellion blooms and a disregard for the past is heightened, when freedom and independence become all important. It is a time for forward thinking and open mindedness, to free ourselves from the past and the restraints we have been under, to widen our horizons through trying something new. We may experience a eureka moment, a vision, a sudden revelation, which totally changes our outlook and we suddenly see things so differently that we are inspired to determine "I've had enough, I’m off!"

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 20th, 2020

At the December Solstice, we come to the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn! Nobody has seen the planets so close to each other since medieval times, in 1226 The gas giants are getting closer, as they near their once-in-20-years conjunction but this time they will look extremely close to each other, only 0.1 degrees apart. Why this conjunction is so special? It is be the first Jupiter-Saturn conjunction since the year 2000, and the closest Jupiter-Saturn conjunction since 1623! However, that conjunction closely followed the sun at sunset and is unlikely that it was noticed by many, as the planets were probably lost in the sun's glare. That is why we will witness a celestial event that has not been seen by humans for more than 800 years! The last visible conjunction was in the year 1226!

MONDAY, DECEMBER 21st, 2020

At the December Solstice, we come to the Aries First Quarter Moon, which is the Lunar Phase we call the INVICTUS MOON ... the Antinous Moon Magic spirit of Mithras ... because this lunar phase always occurs in December or January near the Solstice Birthday of Mithras ... Invictus is the bold light that shines forth from a gay man's eyes to illuminate those around him. It is the warmth of your every being ... It is the optimism which brightens a dismal day when things are going wrong. Invictus is indomitable, unbeatable, unconquerable ... It is a determined spirit which never admits defeat, never gives up, never quits ... Invictus is a beacon which dispels darkness and casts out shadows ... In Antinous Moon Magic, tonight is an ideal time for meditation and rituals aimed at illuminating opaque situations or questions ... It is well-suited for planning assertive, goal-oriented action aimed at whole-heartedly positive results.

TUES-SUNDAY, DECEMBER 22nd to 27th, 2020

This week, Saturn and Jupiter align in near conjunction with Pluto and with the THE STAR OF ANTINOUS on the cusp between Capricorn and Aquarius. This planetary configuration has not occurred for many centuries and certainly will not occur again during our lifetimes. The giant and the dwarf planets may seem quite different from each other, but both of them represent an aspiration for growth and prosperity. Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto cycles work on both the material level, where they increase ambition for greater abundance and development, and the spiritual level, where they reflect a deep yearning for Truth. And the Star of Antinous underscores their importance to LGBT people. In short, we can be certain that 2020 will go down in history as a turning point for LGBT spirituality and legal rights. In a positive way, these configurations reflect a remarkable ability to transform difficulty into opportunity, both individually and collectively.

SNEAK PREVIEW OF NEXT WEEK:

Another exciting week lies ahead between December 28th, 2020, and January 2nd, 2021, because the month of January 2020 will go down in astrological history as a turning point in LGBT history ... when the second Cancer Full Moon of the year occurs while the Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto are aligned in conjunction with the THE STAR OF ANTINOUS. This planetary configuration has not occurred for many centuries and certainly will not occur again during our lifetimes.

The Cancer Full Moon is the lunar phase we call the LUNUS MOON in Antinous Moon Magic — the Moon of Moons! This is a Full Moon which brings out powerful emotions. Because this Full Moon always occurs during December/January, it is emotional farewell to the old year and heart-felt welcoming of the new year. You will shed sentimental tears for loved ones you have lost during the past year, not to mention a job or other things you may have lost.

There was no Cancer Full Moon during 2019 ... this is the second of two Cancer Full Moons during 2020 ... one in January involving the Star of Antinous, and this one on December 29th, 2020, also involving the Star of Antinous. The opening and closing of the year with a Cancer Full Moon is a tip-off that LGBT people and the rise of LGBT power have been highlighted from the beginning to the end of 2020. This "bookend effect" indicates that LGBT issues are reaching a defining turning point.

The conjunction of Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto with the Star of Antinous is unprecedented in modern times. Every Saturn-Pluto conjunction (or opposition) is historic. Looking back at previous cycles, we can see that a Saturn-Pluto conjunction occurred in October 1914, around the outbreak of World War I. In 1931, Saturn and Pluto formed an opposition in Capricorn and Cancer, defining an era that included the Great Depression.

The next Saturn-Pluto cycle commenced in 1947, soon after World War II ended; Germany and Japan lost military influence and dominance, and the power struggle between Capitalism and Communism gained greater intensity. Saturn and Pluto were in opposition in 1966, when the Vietnam War peaked, accentuating the division between the two blocs.

The following cycle of 1982 marked a time of economic recession in the world, with the highest rate of unemployment in the U.S. since the Great Depression. It also marked the escalation of the Cold War during the Reagan years, later leading to the collapse of the Soviet bloc.

The last time that Saturn and Pluto were in opposition was in the autumn of 2001 ... when the 9/11 terrorism attacks changed the world.

It is frankly difficult to predict how this Saturn-Jupiter-Pluto alignment will be affected by the Star of Antinous ... because there are no historical documents in any astrological record for such a configuration. But we can be certain that tremendous forces are at play for LGBT rights.

In short, we can be certain that 2020 will go down in history as a turning point for LGBT spirituality and legal rights. In a positive way, these configurations reflect a remarkable ability to transform difficulty into opportunity, both individually and collectively ... More details next time ....
