On Sunday, Mars is in opposition to Neptune to spawn fears, worries and paranoiac delusions on the global level. In extreme cases, paranoid dictators delude themselves into thinking they are invincible and launch hasty attacks. It is a bit like driving full speed along a winding road on a freezing-cold night ... everything looks fine ... but you realize the roadway is icy until too late. On the personal level, you may experience sexual inadequacy doubts. Don't worry: this will only last a day or so and won't happen again for about two years. The last time Mars and Neptune were in opposition was in October 2013 batten down the hatches because storms and earthquakes are in store when the Sun forms a 90-degree right angle with Pluto — a configuration which happens twice a year and which invariably spawns strife, conflict, warfare and even bad weather. The good news is that this configuration lasts only about 48 hours.

On Thursday, when the configuration is exact again, we are reminded that this is another week dominated by the Jupiter-opposition-Uranus aspect which has brought us so much confusion and woe. ... a rather frightening aspect which occurs only once every 12 years. The last time Jupiter opposition Uranus occurred was on 30th August 2003. These two major planets are now in exact, 180-degree opposition to each other ... and will remain very closely aligned through most of 2017. After that, they will be in opposition in 2031 and 2045. Jupiter opposite Uranus signals a year of sudden and often reckless change. On the global level, that means sudden crises caused by incautious leaders who act without thinking about what they are doing. On the personal level, you will feel a strong urge to react, or rebel against anything that is stopping you from having fun and doing what you want. The expansive nature of Jupiter, the shocking nature of Uranus, and the antagonistic nature of the opposition mean that there is likely to be particular sudden event that releases built up tension and leads to a major change in circumstances. On the spiritual level, a change in beliefs or social interaction may be all it takes to act as a "restart" which causes people to reasses their religious beliefs. At the deeper level, you are seeking a burst of higher awareness, to transcend your daily routine and bring on a spiritual growth spurt.

Good news on Friday! You will be able to shift those long-stalled stalemates and problems at work ... because Pluto is moving forward again for the first time in five months. Pluto has been doing some serious house-cleaning in financial/economic markets and political infrastructures around the world, tearing down old structures and replacing them with new ones (as you can read in the headlines every day). Since April 21st, Pluto has been Retrograde, turning the focus onto introspection. But starting this week, Pluto ends its Retrograde phase and goes Direct again. Pluto direct is better for gaining control over professional and financial areas. The time of review and investigation is over. Now it is time to push the envelope and ask for that pay hike.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th, 2017
On Saturday, Mercury leaves fastidious Virgo and wings his way into laid-back Libra ... where he will sit back and chill and lounge around to Trance music from now until October 17th. Depending on your own star sign, Libra Mercury may cause you some difficulty making decisions and getting work done and generally finding your way through the highways and byways of life. Libra Mercury gets a bad reputation for being lazy, indecisive, two-faced and a downright liar. But it's not true! Well, actually, it IS a bit true ... but also not true ... both true and not true at the same time.And that is exactly how Libra Mercury sees everything ... he sees both sides to every question ... he sees two people (or two nations) arguing and he sees that both sides are partly right ... and both sides are also partly wrong.
Libra Mercury helps to give you a balanced view of the world. He enhances your skills at mediating a compromise which is beneficial to both sides ... and beneficial to you. Libra Mercury loves harmony and balance so much that he tries to please everybody. So you may find yourself tacitly agreeing with people on both sides of an argument. That infuriates both sides, of course, and both sides accuse you of being two-faced.
In fact, you may not have agreed with either side. You wanted to tell both sides to take a hike. You only nodded in tacit agreement just to shut them up and avert open conflict. The result is that you end up being caught in the middle ... a plight that Sun Sign Librans know all too well.
So the down side of Libra Mercury is that decision-making is more difficult. You look at a restaurant menu and it ALL looks so good that you can't make up your mind ... again, a plight that Sun Sign Librans know all too well.
But the up side of Libra Mercury is that you are open to new experiences ... you pick a menu item you have never eaten before ... and it turns out to be delicious. You are driving along your regular route home from work and suddenly turn off down another street you have never explored before ... and you discover places which turn out to be wonderful.
As for being lazy ... that is also partly false ... and yet also partly true. Libra Mercury is very industrious when it comes to something that is interesting, pleasant or lovely. So you may find yourself beavering away at some fabulous project with your mind and soul concentrated solely on that fab project.
Meanwhile, boring and tedious tasks fall by the wayside. You may conveniently "forget" to do things which are uninteresting to you. Mercury Libra is the artistic genius who creates the most exquisitely inspiring art ... and yet who lives in absolute squalor and filth. Art is intensely interesting to him ... but housekeeping is intensely boring, so he "forgets" to do any house cleaning. Sun Sign Librans are experts at "forgetting" unpleasant or uninteresting things.

This will be a weekend of trials and tribulations when love goddess Venus is in opposition to Neptune even as Mars is in an ambitious trine aspect with Pluto. On Sunday be careful about the person you take home from the clubs because Venus is in 180-degree opposition to dreamy Neptune. The Venus/Neptune opposition means you may see romantic situations through lavender-colored glasses which blind you to unpleasant realities. You wake up the next morning to the stark and naked truth. But you can count on cosmic help to assert your wishes and stand up to your boss when Mars and Pluto form an ambition-driven trine aspect.
