TRY THIS NEW MOON WISH RITUAL By Our Crystal Meditation Advisor Martin Campbell

TONIGHT is the Libra New Moon ... the Tripod Moon of magic and mystery when dreams and visions rise like vapors from an incense burner ... which is why we call it the Tripod Moon ... for the three-legged incense burners in ancient temples.

Every New Moon my love Soman and I write down our intentions and aspirations for the coming moon phase. 

We stand under the moon and read an incantation over them asking for the blessing of the goddess.

We then place them under the pillows we sleep on until the next Full Moon ... in two weeks' time.

Then we read an incantation of thanks and offering while burning the intentions in a cauldron. I then soak the ashes in water and sprinkle them around the base of our roses. 

Our intentions almost always come true and our roses are magnificent. Last year, one orange rose was still flowering in mid November!

So tonight might be a very good night to start such a cycle for yourselves folks!

THE TRIPOD MOON OF ANTINOUS THE LIBRA NEW MOON OF INDECISION

TONIGHT's Libra New Moon is the Lunar Phase we call the TRIPOD MOON in Antinous Moon Magic in honor of the clouds of incense with which three-footed incense braziers filled the Ancient Temples of Antinous.

The clouds of incense created a sacred other-worldly atmosphere of intoxication and purification.

By its burning, incense symbolized the zeal of the followers of Antinous, its sweet fragrance echoed the "scent of sanctity" believed to be exuded by the Most Great and Good God.

Its rising smoke symbolized the ascent of prayers to Antinous. 

Also, incense creates a cloud, which is another symbol for the altered state of the Divine. Incense blocks out everyday concerns of the rational mind and opens the heart to the Divine. Your soul is flooded by so many impressions that rational thought becomes clouded.

The Libra New Moon symbolizes those situations in which you find it hard to make decisions, you cannot pick an item from a menu because "it all looks so good" so you let others decide for you. This Lunar Phase is important in showing you how to "clear away the clouds" so that clear decision-making is possible.

Each Lunar Phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of the Tripod Moon is the Spirit of Vapors and Clouds. This Spirit is intangible, hard to grasp, impossible to pin down. It is a Will-O'-the-Wisp. This Spirit is amorphous and formless, only vaguely discernible like the ectoplasm of a ghost.

It does not have its head in the clouds, but rather it is the clouds themselves. This Spirit has trouble making decisions, not because it cannot see any options, but rather because it can see every option and the ramifications of every decision. This Spirit has problems seeing clearly precisely because it see too much.

JASPER, JADE, PERIDOT TRANSMUTE ANGER By Our Crystal Therapy Adviser Martin Campbell

TONIGHT's Discordia Moon (Cancer Third Quarter Moon) confronts us with the challenges of anger suppressed or expressed (perhaps too vehemently in some cases!). My suggestions for crystals to mediate with, through this period, are:

Jasper - this crystal/stone gives you the courage to face and deal with problems which are causing stress or anger. So hopefully will help avoid the anger as it emerges. There are various colours/colors of Jasper so you may want to hold a few different colours to find the one that best helps you get in touch with the courage you are wanting to find.   

Rhodonite - this is a wonderful stone which helps to transmute anger and give the user the strength to heal the cause. It is one of my favourites/favorites!

Red Jade - this is good for releasing anger and letting off steam.

Peridot - this is a beautiful, translucent, green, semi-precious crystal usually found in volcanic areas. It is, perhaps, not surprising, therefore, that it helps you to relieve stress and anger. It is best worn in pendants or rings so the effect is continuous.

This week is dominated by ornery Mars in some highly ornery configurations to the Sun and Mercury which will cause the Earth to rumble ... politically, societally and geologically. The THE YEAR OF MARS 2016 certainly lives up to its name this week. First off on Monday, Mercury is at right angles to Mars. Some astrologers say this is when people sharpen their swords, but we prefer to say it is when people sharpen their tongues to use as weapons! Remember that lovely line from "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde (who is a Saint of Antinous, by the way): "On an occasion of this kind it becomes more than a moral duty to speak one's mind. It becomes a pleasure." This is an aspect which encourages people to say vicious and intentionally hurtful things. People are overly persnickety and bitchy and downright mean. You'll be amazed how true this is. Later, the Sun also squares off against Mars to make people violent, impulsive. People throw themselves headlong into situations without ever thinking of the consequences of their actions. This can cause a lot of problems. People cannot stand still and channel badly the energy which they possesse. As if that were not enough, Mercury aligns in conjunction with the Sun. Old astrology texts dating back to Ancient Rome call this a potentially hazardous time, and speak of a SCORCHED MERCURY which impairs communications and judgment. But in ANTINOUS MOON MAGIC, we see that very differently. This Sun/Mercury conjunction is indeed intense, but in a positive way. Antinous/Mercury focuses the gay spiritual light of his heavenly father Ra-Herakhte right at you. Open your spiritual heart to the light and joy and permit it to burn away all doubt and all fear and trepidation. Most people live in spiritual darkness. They are like people who live in caves and are afraid of sunlight because it hurts their eyes. But should we shun the light and stay in the cave with them? Venus engages Mars in a powerful sextile aspect to start of this week on a positive note. It is possible now to take a balanced approach to conflict, problems and projects that require effort. This can combine both a gentle touch and firm action; sensitivity and forcefulness. Negotiation and interaction with others could be aggressive and determined now, but also balanced with sensitivity and style. Any expressions of anger, frustration or discontent are more likely to be tempered with fairness, moderation and composure. It is possible to dive deep below the surface now, in your perception of situations, other people and yourself. If you have been working on trying to understand the deeper motivations and dynamics of what is happening in your life, there could be a breakthrough now. The light may finally go on in the darker corners that have eluded you, and your penetrating insight. You could find a way to articulate these perceptions and speak your mind in a way that is unusually powerful or intense (so be careful you don't inadvertently blow your audience out of the water). This transit can bring an opportunity to shed and leave behind old worn out perceptions or ineffective forms of communication. Try writing down your thoughts and ideas to capture the energy of this historic double-aspect configuration.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the nights now become longer than the days, and in the Southern Hemisphere, the days become longer than the nights, until the December Solstice. Balance is the key concept here! What is out of balance in your life? How can you negotiate or strategize to bring that area of your life back into harmony? Libra encourages you to balance your life in diplomatic, discreet, "win-win" ways. But if that's not possible, it will do it aggressively (creating conflict in order to break the stalemate of the imbalance) or manipulatively (people-pleasing to co-dependently get its way). RED RUBIES FOR THE HOMOTHEOSIS MOON By Our Crystal Meditation Advisor Martin Campbell

OUR wonderful astrology expert Hernestus has advised me that tonight is the Antinous Homotheosis Moon (Pisces Full Moon). It is the lunar phase of sexual desire which leads to spiritual fulfillment. 

This may seem counter-intuitive in this era where so many people with extreme religious views would never equate sexual desire with spiritual fulfillment.

There is no surprise that Islamic militants are seeking to destroy ancient temples which allowed or even encouraged spirituality expressed through sex.

Similarly extreme Christians believe that sexuality can only be heterosexual in the eye of their version of God.

We know that our God Antinous is one with us. He joins us in sexual joy and rejoices that we can feel spiritually connected and fulfilled by passionately expressing our sexual personality. 

Sexual passion is often depicted in deep red colours by artists. 

There is, perhaps, no surprise then that the crystals I am going to recommend are two of the most obvious deep red crystals. 

They are also two of the most regularly used stones used by lovers for their partner's jewels.

THE HOMOTHEOSIS MOON THE SEXY-SPIRITUAL PISCES FULL MOON

THE PISCES FULL MOON represents the sexual/spiritual energy we call the HOMOTHEOSIS MOON.

IT'S YELLOW JASPER & AMETHYST FOR THE EQUESTRIAN MOON By Our Crystal Meditation Advisor Martin Campbell

OUR well traveled astrological expert Hernestus has prompted me that the coming moon phase is theEquestrian Moon (Sagittarius First Quarter Moon). It will bring thoughts of  travel - both physical and spiritual journeys.

There are some among us who have traveled in the footsteps of Antinous and Hadrian.

But Retrograde Neptune in dreamy Pisces blurs all the distinctions between right and wrong, left and right and up and down. And because Neptune is Retrograde, you sense a vague nostalgia for the way things used to be and delude yourself into thinking things used to be more just and fair ... when in fact they weren't. On the interpersonal level, this means you tend to misinterpret or overlook the intentions of other people. On Sunday Venus and Pluto square off at a 90-degree right angle. This creates an explosive situation for interpersonal relationships. Because Pluto is Retrograde, thorny old issues come to the fore again. It begins at the breakfast table over corn flakes when you say you want to go shopping and your alpha-male boyfriend starts in saying that it's typical of you to go off and spend money and waste time while he has to clean the house. Next thing you know, the two of you have been screaming at each other for hours. Remember that we always say astrology is a tool to master such situations. Venus-square-Pluto is a golden opportunity to rediscover the things you love about your lover. Okay, so he's a bitch-on-wheels. So what? He's your bitch-on-wheels and the two of you love each other. Make a stab at helping him clean the house — and sneak online and buy needless stuff on eBay when he's not looking.

MON.-THURSDAY SEPT. 12th-15th, 2016

This week is dominated by ornery Mars in some highly ornery configurations to the Sun and Mercury which will cause the Earth to rumble ... politically, societally and geologically. The THE YEAR OF MARS 2016 certainly lives up to its name this week. First off on Monday, Mercury is at right angles to Mars. Some astrologers say this is when people sharpen their swords, but we prefer to say it is when people sharpen their tongues to use as weapons! Remember that lovely line from "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde (who is a Saint of Antinous, by the way): "On an occasion of this kind it becomes more than a moral duty to speak one's mind. It becomes a pleasure." This is an aspect which encourages people to say vicious and intentionally hurtful things. People are overly persnickety and bitchy and downright mean. You'll be amazed how true this is. Later, the Sun also squares off against Mars to make people violent, impulsive. People throw themselves headlong into situations without ever thinking of the consequences of their actions. This can cause a lot of problems. People cannot stand still and channel badly the energy which they possesse. As if that were not enough, Mercury aligns in conjunction with the Sun. Old astrology texts dating back to Ancient Rome call this a potentially hazardous time, and speak of a SCORCHED MERCURY which impairs communications and judgment. But in ANTINOUS MOON MAGIC, we see that very differently. This Sun/Mercury conjunction is indeed intense, but in a positive way. Antinous/Mercury focuses the gay spiritual light of his heavenly father Ra-Herakhte right at you. Open your spiritual heart to the light and joy and permit it to burn away all doubt and all fear and trepidation. Most people live in spiritual darkness. OUR scintillating astrology expert Hernestus has advised me that this moon phase is the Virgo New Moon, the Plotina Moon in the Antinous faith. This moon puts us in mind of our grandmothers, older wise women or the Pagan 'Crone'. 

Many women display great wisdom - we have all met such women or grown up with them.

Trajan's wife, Empress Plotina, was a guiding force behind Hadrian as he waited in the wings to become Emperor. She was not so much a mother figure as a wise and forceful guide who put his feet on the path to lofty heights.

My maternal grandmother was the 'Plotina' in my life. She was worldly, strong, indomitable and totally understood me. 

When my Dad tried to get me to do 'manly things' it was she who took Dad aside and explained to him that I was a 'sensitive' boy who should not be troubled with such nonsense!! Blessed be to her in her next life.

Embrace your feminine aspects - they are part of you and help to balance your more driven masculine and sexual nature.

THE PLOTINA MOON VIRGO NEW MOON

TONIGHT's Virgo New Moon is the lunar phase which, in Antinous Moon Magic, is called the PLOTINA MOON in honor of Emperor Trajan's wife, the Empress Plotina, who lobbied on Hadrian's behalf, ensuring he would be Trajan's successor.

Hadrian was a favorite of Plotina's and she did everything in her power to further his career and to position him to succeed her husband Trajan as emperor. Indeed, it is said that, upon Trajan's death, Plotina forged his signature on a will naming Hadrian as his successor.

It has been speculated that she and Hadrian were lovers, though his preference for males and their age difference (she was old enough to be his mother) may make that speculation seem a bit far-fetched.

Whatever the case, Plotina showered Hadrian with love, favors and the wealth of her insights into the machinations and workings of the inner coterie surrounding the Emperor.

Thanks to Plotina's tutelage, Hadrian was well-equipped to become emperor.

Each lunar phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of the Plotina Moon is the Spirit of the Crone, the Wise Woman, the White Witch, the Great Mother Isis. She is a Spirit Guide.
