Antinous Astrology Forecast

MARCH 17 to 27, 2016

The latter half of this week is dominated by two powerful configurations. First, the good news: Lucky Jupiter and career-minded Pluto form a trine aspect which is highly conducive for prosperity ... ordinarily. Now the not-so-good news: You may feel paralyzed between optimism and pessimism when Jupiter forms a 90-degree square angle aspect to Saturn which dominates the second half of the week. This is a textbook case of finding fortune in misfortune. You may find that a project you have been counting on to succeed suddenly backfires ... but that this apparent "failure" turns out to be a blessing in disguise. Jupiter-square-Saturn also often suggests that you yourself become the blessing in disguise for other people. While expecting good fortune for yourself, you suddenly find yourself in the position of helping others ... which is a blessing-in-disguise for you yourself.

This weekend energy levels get a boost when the Sun enters Aries for the Equinox ... first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and first day of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. The Equinox is the start of the astrological new year. This is the first day of Spring for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of Autumn for our brothers in the Southern Hemisphere. Either way, this EQUINOX is the traditional starting gun for new starts and new projects. This is also one of the most romantic weekends of the year because love goddess Venus and emotionally deep Neptune align in conjunction in dreamy Pisces. Passion and compassion are the bywords — but watch out for over-indulgence in Neptunian party drugs and alcohol.

Overnight Monday/Tuesday Mercury leaves dreamy Pisces and soars into fiery Aries until April 6th when it enters placid Taurus. As Mercury transitions from peaceful Pisces to bold and brash Aries, our minds and our words will get less poetic and more action-oriented. Aries is a Fire sign known for being impulsive, so be careful what you say! Comments might come out of your mouth before they're fully formed, giving them a tinge of sarcasm or even an edge of insult — whether you intend them to or not. And even if we think we know the full impact of our words, there's the danger that we haven't thought far enough ahead about the effect they'll have on those we care about.

On Wednesday Mercury aligns with the Sun and the Moon even as Jupiter and Saturn turn up the volume by being in a tight, 90-degree square aspect which heightens oratory skills. We come to the "Pink Moon" (or "Blood Moon") &mdash a spectacular Lunar Eclipse which will be visible from North America across the Pacific to New Zealand and Australia as well as parts of Asia ... With the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra, this is the Libra Full Moon ... Libra Full Moon ... the lunar cycle we call the ORATOR MOON of diplomacy and balanced thinking. This is the perfect time for fulfilling dreams of finding just the right partner, the person who balances out your needs and desires perfectly. But remember that diplomacy is the key. Each Lunar Phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of the Orator Moon is the embodiment of articulate expression in all forms and in all media, whether spoken, written or visual.

Thursday is the perfect day for a job interview or for a presentation of a special project. Mercury is in a good trine aspect to Mars to help you get your point across articulately and strongly to others.

On Friday night, date night, your heartstrings will throb when Venus is in opposition to exaggeration-prone Jupiter even as both are in a right-angle square aspect with stern Saturn. That is a recipe for a one-night fling which you will long remember. But there is more ... when Saturn the ringed planet shifts into reverse gear to go Retrograde or "backwards" as seen from Earth. As Saturn retraces its steps over the next five months, we will all revisit issues and problems in our lives which need to be remedied before we move on. From now until August 13th, when Saturn goes Direct or "forwards" again, you can expect to have Saturn, the school teacher of the Zodiac, to force you to sit down and complete your homework before moving forward to the next class.

In ancient times Antinous was famous for love spells and you can see for yourself this weeken the Sun forms a hot trine aspect with Mars and when love goddess Venus is in a sexy sextile aspect with darkly magical Pluto. Venus sextile Pluto gives you the ability to cast a really powerful kind of love spell on others. We all know that love spells can go any which way. They can bind two people’s affections together in ways that are movingly romantic and passionate or dangerously unbalanced and obsessive. Pluto tends to manifest in extremes, so with this planet in aspect to Venus, your planet of romance, love affairs tend to swing from one end of the emotional spectrum to the next. You'll often find yourself on the receiving end of some obsessively intense attractions but you’re certainly prone to experiencing all-consuming feelings of attraction toward the object of your desire. Go ahead, give it love a chance.

Another exciting week lies ahead between March 27 April 3 when we come to the Capricorn Third Quarter Moon which, in Antinous Moon Magic, we call the HADRIAN'S WALL MOON of stubborn intransigence and immovable barriers. Each Lunar Phase represents a Divine Spirit or Archetype. The Spirit of the Hadrian's Wall Lunar Phase is the embodiment of hindrances and blockages. It represents the barriers that stand in your way. It is all barriers and obstacles to progress. Meditations and rituals conducted on this night are best suited for focusing on blockages in your life, situations and issues which prevent you from moving forward. These can be manifested by persons or situations around you. But most often, we find during meditations on this night that we have erected prison walls around ourselves, we are blocking ourselves from the freedom we so earnestly desire. This Lunar Phase is saying it is time to break out! .... More details next time ....
