After whizzing through Aries and Taurus in near-record time, messenger planet Mercury enters its own sign of Gemini on Thursday, making life even chattier than normal. Our usual obsession with gadgets, technology and every other form of staying connected hits the extreme. There may be more confusion and indecision than normal, and our inability to choose just one thing, one path or even one person is highlighted. However, this is an excellent time for tapping in to our greatest mental abilities. The ability to play with words and discover the joy of language is accentuated now. There's great interest for all-things intellectual — especially writing, teaching and learning new languages. We're compelled to convey our message in whichever written or spoken form we're most comfortable with. But communication is a must. Keeping silent feels deadly.

On Saturday go outside at sunset and look to the eastern horizon just after the Sun has set in the west — and the bright white "star" you see rising on the eastern horizon will be Saturn. You will also see the Moon and Mars (the red "star" near the Moon), but Saturn will be just coming over the horizon. This stunning site occurs once a year when the Sun is in opposition to Saturn. As lovely as the sight is to behold, it is less than lovely astrologically. Retrograde Scorpio Saturn in opposition to the beamish Taurus Sun creates a stifling atmosphere of frustration and dissipation. Feelings of pessimism, restriction and isolation prevails. But never fear: This doom-and-gloom atmosphere will last only a day or so because the Taurus Sun moves quickly on.
