Astro Forecast: December 12 — 22, 2013

Antinous Astrology Forecast

DECEMBER 12 to 22, 2013

On Thursday everyone around you seems to be intentionally annoying you ... and naturally you are not the least bit annoying to others! The problem is that ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD is at right angles to Jupiter and Venus.

Friday the 13th could be the luckiest day of the year 2013 for you when lucky Jupiter is in a fortuitous trine aspect with determined, rock steady Saturn. Jupiter represents enlightenment, good fortune and optimism. Saturn, meanwhile, brings about focus, concentration and perseverance. Put another way, Jupiter is like a bright light that blinds you with its intensity. Saturn is the polarized goggles you put on to permit you to see clearly through the glare. The result is that you are able to work a bright idea into something tangible.

On Saturday the waves of good fortune from lucky Friday the 13th continue to wash over you as ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD joins the Jupiter/Saturn good-luck aspect. Get noisome chores out of the way early so that you can enjoy this luck-filled day.

On Sunday a party atmosphere prevails when ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD forms a trine with Venus and Mars while squaring off against dreamy Neptune. And if you can't get together in person, you can always do a group SKYPE call.

Overnight Monday/Tuesday we come to the Solstice and when we come to the December Full Moon ... The Gemini Full Moon is the CATAMITUS MOON in Antinous Moon Magic, the moon signaling where change will occur in your life during the coming year. This is a powerfully magical moon for working gay magical spells in the Gemini areas of friendships, finances and getting in contact with prospective lovers.

On Tuesday Uranus ends the Retrograde phase it started last July 17 and begins going forward again, as seen from the Earth. On Tuesday, as Uranus stands still and turns around, it encourages us to reflect upon the past five months to discern its action in our lives. Uranus is the great awakener, the cosmic alarm clock which shatters our cozy sleep to remind us there are places to go, people to meet, things to experience which can never be encounter if we stay where we are. When retrograde, those encounters occur within ourselves, with parts of our psyche we have failed to acknowledge or honour. Think about the changes that have occurred within you over the past five months ... as the changes now become external.

On Wednesday your co-workers will be unusually annoying when ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD forms a trine with Neptune and then forms tense aspects with Mars, Uranus and Pluto. Not only will your co-workers annoy you, they have the audacity to accuse you of being annoying to them. On top of it all, a number of annoying surprises occur.

On Thursday fortune smiles on you when ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD aligns in conjunction with lucky Jupiter and forms a nice trine with productive Saturn. Work will be easy and will fly by fast.

On Friday the work week comes to a happy-go-lucky end when ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD goes opposite Venus and forms a nice sextile with Mars. This is a recipe for a party atmosphere. You may find it hard to get much work done, because of all the gossip and conviviality. But after work, you can really get down and boogie.

On Saturday we come to the December Solstice. Check out the nearly 2,500 members of the brotherhood of worshipers of Antinous at the ANTINOUS THE GAY GOD FACEBOOK PAGE and you see there are people in South Wales (UK) and New South Wales (Australia). There are people in Sao Paulo and Sydney. There are people in California and Cape Town, and there are some in Portland Oregon and Portland Maine.

For some of us the days are getting shorter and Winter is approaching. For others of us the days are getting longer and Summer is on the way. For our brothers in Brazil and South Africa and Australia, the jacarandas are in bloom and the days are hot and balmy. Sydneysiders are bracing for another bush fire season.

For our brothers here in Britain and Europe, the days are short and almost completely sunless and the scent of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine fills the air from vendors on city streets.

For our brothers in the US and Canada, ice storms and the icy fear of economic disaster have put a chill on this Solstice Season.

Wherever we are, regardless of the season, Antinous the Gay God looks into our hearts.

And it is all happening at this magical moment. Twice a year there is a moment — in fact, a few days — when the sun seems to "stand still" in the heavens. From the Latin "sol stasis" we derive our name for these events: solstices.

That's the very odd thing about this blue marble upon which we live. The Solstice occurs at the same moment everywhere. But the hands on the clocks point to 23 different hours. And in some places it signals the start of summer (though the days start getting shorter), while in others the it signals the start of winter (though the days start getting longer).

But it is really the same moment and we are all living and breathing at this same moment, though we live in places where the hands of the clock point in all different directions. Each of us is alone. All of us are together in this aloneness. It is the same phenomenon. But how you see it depends on how you look at it.

The days are getting longer. The days are getting shorter. It all depends on how you look at it.

However you look at it, remember that we are all brothers, lovers and comrades. And we are all turning, turning toward our own true delight.

On Sunday the Solstice weekend ends with an atmosphere conducive to getting together with family and friends when ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD forms merry aspects with Mercury and the Sun. Enjoy the fun ... because next week some unpleasant configurations cause problems for all of us.

Another exciting week lies ahead between December 23rd and 29th when we come to the Libra Third Quarter Moon. This is the lunar phase we call the CROSSROADS MOON in Antinous Moon Magic. It is symbolized by the "Herme", the ithyphallic stele of Mercury which guarded intersections of Roman roads. This night is ideal for carrying out meditations and rituals aimed at making decisions or deciding what course of action to take. Because this lunar phase always occurs in December or January, it is an ideal time for taking stock of the old year and making decisions for the new year. More details next time ....
